Remember guys.....This is the same Giants team that gave the Pats a run for thier life in the last game of the season, and it's also the same team that upset the Cowboys and Packers - on the road. This game will be more interesting than meets the eye.

Once again "New York" vs "Boston" dominates the sports world :upside:

Ah crap. I didn't notice that. Oh LORD, that means there will be at least 30 Yankees-Red Sox references by ESPN before the Super Bowl begins.

EDIT: Make that at least 200 Yankees-Red Sox references. I forgot that it is ESPN...

I've been somewhat anti-Pats all season long, but I really can't think of any real reason why I want Eli Manning to win a Superbowl. Heck, I'm not even sure why I don't like the guy; I just don't....at all. I think I'm gonna go neutral this year, and just hope for some sort of technicality, allowing the Lions to take the Lombardi trophy. :D

Agreed. The build-up might be annoying, but make no mistake, this WILL be a good game.

Eli winning the SuperBowl would be as big a joke as when Trent Dilfer somehow pulled it off...He did it, but everyone knew afterwards..he still sucked...

Will be the same for Eli if the Giants win it....But come on....They don't stand a chance against that barreling train that is the Pats....And don't get me wrong..i hate New England as well

So when it's all said and done, what's gonna sit as a bigger waste of everybody's time, Patriots vs Giants or Red Sox vs Rockies? What will be more entertaining, the game or the half time show? Who should be put on suicide watch more, Cowboys fans last week or Packers fans now?

Either way, it looks like the marathon to get passed out drunk before the conclusion of the game is on.

I would posit that Eli Manning and the Giants have played far more inspired football than any other team in this year's playoffs, the Patriots included. If today's Giants squad matched up with today's Patriots, New York would have wiped the floor with them. Eli and the Giants deserve a lot of credit for going into two very hostile environments and coming out with the win.

I feel like if that Chargers had shown a pulse today, they could have walked out with the win. As it happened, they stunk up the joint and the Pats sleepwalked into the Super Bowl. I don't doubt Belichick will have them better prepared in two weeks, but if the game were played next Sunday, I have a pretty good feeling the Giants would win.

Packers fans. A guy who lives on my floor went nutso when Tynes made the FG. Turned off my TV talking about "DON'T GIVE FOX THE RATINGS!!!"

My 29 year old sister said that "a single tear went down my left eye" when the Cowboys lost. So yeah, judging by that, I say that if you know any Packers fans or have any that live near you...go see about them, 'kay?
