pcgd
After visiting the Giants website I noticed that the championship shirts say "2007 NFC Conference Champions."which really reads.."2007 National Football Conference Conference Champions."You would think that someone would recognize thatwww.giants.comEveryone brings this up every year.Yes, National Football Conference Champions would be correct. But so is this. The name full name of the Conference is National Football Conference, always using the acronym NFC. The name of the Championship is "Conference Championship". You can't use NF Conference (or AF Conference). Trust me, the NFL would not allow this.So if you pronounce NFC fully, its going to read National Football Conference Conference Champions, but I don't know many people that do that. habsfan1
Perhaps it's purposely made that way so it can be read in two ways.Either 227 Conference Champions (in red), and NFC Champions (in blue).
