mightynine
Picked up this hat at the England pavilion in Epcot's World Showcase. I guess it's for the national team, but I can't seem to find the logo anywhere on their site, so I figured I'd come to the experts. What's the story behind this one? Davidson
what sport is that supposed to be for?seems like a strange choice of logo. despite the st george ref,in the uk, dragons are associated with wales not england.
Gothamite
Never seen that one.I really like it, but it's strange iconography for the England MNT - dragons aren't a team symbol. It almost looks more appropriate for the City of London than England:Maybe it's something that Adidas cooked up to avoid paying a fee to the FA? powersurge
Still looks pretty bada$$, regardless for what they would use it for. Frankie
It's probably a fashion hat for the English NT football. Since adidas doesn't have the rights to use the "Three Lions badge," as that belongs to umbro (and subsequently Nike), they still make "fashion" items for their soccer teams. Especially because they have Beckham has a major endorser.

What's the story behind this one? That logo would look killer on a faded t-shirt. Did you see any shirts with that where you got the hat?Taht logo, regardless of what it's for, is absolutely awesome. MJWalker45
It's just a fashion embelm. On my trips to the UK I've seen the shield by itself used by a multitude of companies. The dragon is just an added touch by adidas
mightynine
No shirts with that logo. Just lots of Chelsea FC stuff (picked up another hat with their logo on it).Back of the hat features the Union Jack, if that's any help.
rmered
Possibly it's for the England Aussie Rules team. They've been using this as their logo:(Perhaps Rutgers and/or UAB have contacted them and they felt the need to change)Though I suppose it says "dragons" more than it says "dragonslayers" Oh, and I've got a site.Footy Jumpers Dot Com

The crest is all over the place:That's why I think this logo is so odd - the dragon is a very limited symbol in England, certainly doesn't represent the entire country.
