mightynine
That's what on-field caps cost now....Yeah, but minor leagues teams usually ran a little cheaper in the hat prices - of course, your mileage may vary.
bulldogbarks55
He could use a tweaking though. I saw that and immediately thought 1950's.The '50s-A GREAT decade! Ike was in the White House, Hillary was in grade school (and still a Republican) and Barack wasn't even a gleam in his father's eye! Couldn't be any better! leggman01
3. Shame they didn't just use the P from the road script on the cap: the subtle beaver tail on the letter would have made it one of the best cap logos in all of baseball.couldn't agree more...that was my immediate reaction, and i'm not sure why they didn't see that as a possibility - the simplicity of that subtle tail makes it absolutely BRILLIANT
Gothamite
Sent an email to their merchandising people asking about jerseys, got this response:We will have authentic Adidas jerseys in both the home and alternate Sunday styles available for purchase as we near April. We do not have them in as of right now, but I can shoot you an email when they arrive. They will be $225 each and available in sizes 42-52 gameweight. No roads, which is a little disappointing. And the price is a little steep. But I do love the design, and think I'll still pick one up. The Green Bay Packers Uniform Database! Now in a handy blog. Brian in Boston
A near-perfect identity package could have been made better with just a couple of tweaks. Specifically:* The jersey worn by the mascot in the primary logo should feature the same style sleeve striping as appears on the actual game jerseys.* The home and road caps should feature the "beaver-tail P" from the road jersey script.Even as is, the home and road uniforms are extremely strong. On the other hand, the alternate uniforms - as is so often the case - strike me as being absolutely unnecessary abominations.
Gothamite
I really don't like white piping on dark jerseys, although I love the sleeve logo on the alt.It strikes me that they might be trying to hearken back to the really olden days:White cap with blue bill, navy jersey with white "P". But if they were doing that, I'd almost rather they went all the way, navy pants and white socks. The Green Bay Packers Uniform Database! Now in a handy blog. McCall
I love the alternate. It's simple and classic. I really love the 'P' on the hat/jersey, and would love to see it OR the 'P' from the road jersey script on the home/away hats.BTW, here in Springfield, we sell our authentic caps for $32, so this is not far from a lot of teams. Also, our authentic jerseys are $141, and we have them in Home, Away, and both a Button-Up and Pullover version of the BP's, which are the old mesh style. (The button-up is also used during games, sometimes, as an alt. jersey.) https://dribbble.com/MakaioCall

letterform
I wonder how long Red and Black have been traditional sporting colours in Portland? Did the old PCL team really wear blue and white? I know the Portland Rosebuds wore blue and white for a few seasons at least....The new colours kind of shocked me at first because I'm used to the red and black combo, but these are really good. The only thing I don't like is the home and road caps. That P logo with the Beaver in it is stupid looking. It ruins a great look. They should have just gone with a blue version of the alt hat with the P logo. I'd buy ten of those. The road uniform is better than most MLB clubs. I absolutely love that......... hecticbro
Now that I've seen decent pictures of the uniforms I think they're even worse! That hat is utter crap, for one. It might have worked with just the 'P', but now there's a stupid cartoon beaver in awkwardly stamped on top of it. On the other hand, the blue jersey manages to look much too plain. The only good thing about this is the beaver tail in the wordmark. I thought that was clever. How often do minor league baseball teams change affiliations? Hopefully they will soon, because this Padres set stinks. Almost every baseball fan I meet who comes from Oregon likes the Mariners anyway.
