The Thrashers jerseys are terrible! I'm guessing everyone has already has stated, but this is not the NBA, this is the NHL and trying to make it like a sleeved NBA jersey is just rediculous. Dallas has awful jerseys too, they just suck.

As for the Lightning, I'm not a big fan of wordmarks, and really thought the potential for using a new logo or shoulder logo would make it look great, but the words over all the NHL jerseys now are nothing special and now are becoming like NBA jerseys.

So it looks like either you have a throwback or a sleeved NBA jersey. That's terrible.

Blues third: subliminal advertising for mcdonalds?

MUST BUY BIG MAC. NOW.

Can't say I understand why people feel that way.

At least for anyone outside of the St. Louis area, that arch form represented on that jersey is pretty much synonymous with McDonalds. Golden arches. Mmm. MUST BUY BIG MAC. At least the Rams' representation of the Arch is at a different viewing perspective.

Anyway, i'd like the jersey a helluva lot more without the arch. Classy look (and i'm a sucker for the circle logos like the Wild use on their sweaters)

Is it? I'm in Minnesota, and I immediately thought, "Gateway Arch." Besides, the McDonald's logo is yellow with two arches, while the singular arch in the Blues' logo is silver, like...you know...the Gateway Arch.

Agreed. MacDonalds is known for its "golden arches" not a general association with any and all arches.

Wrong. Arch Deluxe anyone?

The Thrashers' alts are meh. The one cripe I have is consistency in colors...They now have a white jersey (of course), a light blue jersey, and a dark red jersey, none of which look the least bit alike. I think the franchise actually takes pride in the fact that they look odd. So I guess it's ok. Nothing special. A crest would've been much better.

they seem excited

They look like they have their jerseys on backwards, and all their names are "Thrashers".

Uhh, if the numbers were really small on the back of a jersey, then maybe.

The Flyers one is decent, but why don't they wear orange at home? I hate their black uniforms. Whenever I watch the Thrashers vs. Flyers (in Philly) here I get crappy quality on the channels, so they look the same, all because the Flyers wear black with white shoulders, which looks a lot like white with dark shoulders. If they wore orange jerseys in the current template, just orange/black switched, that would be an awesome jersey.

Here are my very important opinions on all the new NHL 3rd jerseys this year. I know everybody has been waiting for them. I will be using the standard A to F grading scale that everyone should be familiar with from grade school.

Thrashers: I have to say, I kinda like it. It's different, but it works for me. I give it a B+

Bruins: I'm not too crazy about this one. The Bruins should just stick with their regular uniforms. I give it a C

Sabres: I like it, it reminds me of Pat LaFontaine and that's never a bad thing. I give it a A-

Hurricanes: It's okay I guess. I honestly don't care what the Hurricanes wear, they're a hockey team in North Carolina. They could wear Gladlock trashbags for all I care. I give it a C+

Oilers: Oh yeah, that's what I'm talking 'bout! Gretzky, Messier, Ron Low, Blair MacDonald, it brings me back to all the Oilers legends. A

Canadiens: What in tarnations is going on here? They are overdoing all this throwback business. What is with that crazy striped one? I want to give you an F, but I'll bump it up to a D because the Habs are such a historical hockey franchise.

Blues: Yeah, this one is okay. Nothing too inspiring though. I give it a solid B

Maple Leafs: Oh yeah, the crinkly leaf, daddy like! A+

Flyers: Very nice, of course the orange should be their regular home jersey, so I'm going to bump it down a grade on principle. B

Lightning: Oh my, what a mess. This one breaks two major rules, 1. don't put your nickname on your uniform and 2. the only hockey team allowed to use diagonal letters is the New York Rangers. On top of all that they spelled their star player's name wrong. Tsk tsk Tampa Bay, I'm sorry but I'm going to have to give you a F. See you in summer school.

the reason for all the canadians is because they are such a historical hockey franchise there only gonna wear those jerseys twice and its to show how they have evolved its there 100 season let them do watever they want

A little hypocritical here, you give the Thrashers a Hockey team in ATLANTA a B+ but because a team is in North Carolina you give them a C+ and really don't care? Doesn't make sense....

And then you give the Oilers an A and you give the Canadiens a D because they're celebrating their 100th anniversary??? Odd... Just really odd.

How is it hypocritical? What do Atlanta and North Carolina have to do with each other? Because they are both in the South? I don't care about that. Need I remind you of the Atlanta Flames who played from 1972-1980 before moving to a small town in Canada, there's a lot of NHL history in that town! To me, the Hurricanes have always been a bland, boring, lame team with boring uniforms, I wish they never left Hartford, where they had awesome uniforms. Maybe if they took a chance like the Thrashers did and make a bold, unique, slick-looking third jersey I would respect them more, instead they just made a black uniform and stuck their secondary logo on it. Oh, real creative!!!

As for the Canadiens/Oilers thing, I thought I explained this. The Canadiens just went overboard. What, are they going to wear every jersey they ever had? Give me a break. Also, some uniforms need to stay in the past, that striped uniform is hideous. If you want to celebrate your anniversary, throw a party, don't play dress up every night.

actually calgary is fifth largest city in canada and the top four all have teams so it aint that small

Looksreal, but it's not because of the descrption we have been given:

A dramatic change in the Senators' third jersey will see a predominantly black uniform with the word ?SENS? angled upward on the front. A fashionable red stripe will run from the arm pits, down the side of the jersey, to its base, where the stripe turns inward. A pair of narrow red and white stripes will adorn each arm, and the very bottom of the jersey. It's quite a sharp design.

All other ones have been right so I am guessing this one is to.

The big giveaway - No more RBK tagging in the jerseys. They all say REEBOK.

And it SO looks photoshopped, especially the "shading" doing to the torso striping.

I really like the Thrashers jersey, especially how their secondary logos finally both face forward. I really like the Lightning one too, except... where are they going to put the front numbers? The Flyers ones are great, as expected.

I think that's from a website that ran a petition to make that the new Sens third.
