So in light of Tennessee losing, who is the overall #1? UNC, Memphis, or UCLA?

(I assume Tennessee will still be a #1)

If the Bullies can get past the Hairy Dawgs, I like their chances against Arkansas, because I like the chances of MSU vs Arkansas at any venue but Fayetteville. I really would hate for UGA to all of a sudden go on a Cinderella run, especially with them playing two games in one day. :/

Meanwhile, the Big 5 will be represented in the tourney once again, as the winner of the A-10 battle between St. Joe's and Temple will get Philly's only nod.

By the way... WTF is up with hosting this tournament in Atlantic City? It was in Philadelphia forever, then Dayton, then AC, then Dayton again, now AC. Why not keep it in Philly? Besides, three A-10 teams are based here.

Because you cant go casino gambling in Philly

UNC if they beat Clemson, UCLA if UNC does not. The other two #1s should be Tennessee and whoever wins the Big XII.

Will, Memphis' only loss is to another likely 1 seed, and in the vaunted last 12 games they played (the stat all the analysts seem to love this year) 10 of them could be described as "Memphis pimp-slaps its opponent." They are in the top 3 in both polls, as well as in the simulated RPIs. I think by any credible measure, they are a one seed.

My thoughts....UNC if they win the ACC, Memphis if UNC loses. UCLA gets a one seed, but Mbah a Moute's injury keeps them from the overall #1

I stand by the fact that I don't see a credible road win for Memphis. Besides, wouldn't you love to see Memphis as the #2 team in the East? Oh, what a regional final that should be.

Also, congrats to UMBC for reaching their first ever NCAA tourny.

:D:D:D

I never thought I'd see the Retrievers make the tournament. Great game today, the RAC Arena was packed. It was cool to actually get to rush the court. Bring on Duke! (that's who I heard we'd be playing)

Yes, but they have neutral site victories over Connecticut and Oklahoma. Besides, what power school in their right mind schedules Memphis?

Well, I can say I'm pumped for Illinois. Wisconsin is going to be tough as they beat Illinois handily both times this year, but they've made it this far and anything can happen.
