Has me thinking that the Needle will be incorporated in to the identity package.SeattleSoundersFC.net is registeredAlong with SoundersFC.net and SoundersFC.comSeattle Sounders FC it is. Seahawks colors with the Space needle as the focal point of the crest.

Gothamite
Let's hope sense prevailed over euro-izationThe two are not mutually exclusive. Sometimes a European influence makes the most sense. Sometimes a Latin influence makes the most sense. In this case, Sounders makes the most sense. The Green Bay Packers Uniform Database! Now in a handy blog. SCL
I personally would have dumped the outer (blue) portion of the shield.
Burning River
I like the name, they didn't totally cave. I like the logo, solid design. Is that the same font the Seahawks use or is it closer to the Texans?Heh... or the Falcons... ?...or the Bengals...?
officeglenn
I personally would have dumped the outer (blue) portion of the shield. You know what, I really like that part of it. Makes it a very unique shape. Is that the same font the Seahawks use or is it closer to the Texans?Heh... or the Falcons... ?...or the Bengals...?None of the above, I think. But if I had to pick one it's close to, probably the Texans.

Brian in Boston
The badge/logo is simple... iconic... straightforward. I'd go so far as to say that it is one of the three or four best in all of MLS.The name is spot-on brilliant, as it maintains the Seattle Sounders tradition, while simultaneously giving a nod to those who were clamoring for an internationally-traditional brand like Seattle FC.The colors are unique within MLS, appear to be tweaked just enough to separate the team's merchandise from that of its QWEST Field brethren (the Seahawks), and fairly unique within world football (J-League 2's Shonan Bellmare come closest). gosioux76
This is great news. It's nice to see a franchise listen to its fans. The crest is beautiful, the colors are beautiful and the name is beautiful. Nicely done.
ykiki5
As one of the masses who wrote-in "Sounders", I'm happy with today's news. As for the colors being similar to the Seahawks, one has to remember that the NASL Sounders had the green/light blue combination back in the days prior to the 'Hawks, though I can see why people would draw comparisons. However, the Sounders' green is nowhere near as bright as the "neon" lime green currently used by the Seahawks.
TruColor
I love it. The old, mid-70s Sounders were my favorite identity in the NASL...I love this.
Fred T. Jane
Great name, fantastic logo, and delicious colours. A winner all around. So when do I get to order my Thierry Henry kit? [Croatia National Team Manager Slavan] Bilic then went on to explain how Croatia's success can partially be put down to his progressive man-management techniques. "Sometimes I lie in the bed with my players. I go to the room of Vedran Corluka and Luka Modric when I see they have a problem and I lie in bed with them and we talk for 10 minutes." Maybe Capello could try getting through to his players this way too? Although how far he'd get with Joe Cole jumping up and down on the mattress and Rooney demanding to be read his favourite page from The Very Hungry Caterpillar is open to question. --The Guardian's Fiver, 08 September 2008 Attention: In order to obtain maximum enjoyment from your stay at the CCSLC, the reader is advised that the above post may contain large amounts of sarcasm, dry humour, or statements which should not be taken in any true sort of seriousness.
