The flaming exhaust from the primary logo is featured, as well as the checkered flag in the background. Didn't use the team name, since the team has used the hockey stick to underline their wordmark since the birth of their organization, which is perhaps the most recognizable element in league history. They also unveiled their Anniversary jersey that they will wear only during the upcoming 2008 season. This throwback jersey is based on the uniform worn by the 1973 championship team. eRay Posted April 16, 2008 Share Posted April 16, 2008 Atlanta Striped Bandits-Celebrating 50 years in Atlanta is a huge deal for this franchise. They have revamped a very old secondary logo for the occasion, a logo that has not been seen in nearly 40 years, and built it to be an anniversary logo. The star in the state of Georgia is the location of Atlanta, showing that the team represents both the city and the state.Honolulu Tropicals-This franchise was not even predicted to survive for 5 years, yet here they stand 10 years after that inaugural season. To celebrate the occasion the team has released a logo that features an X inside of a sun, which has 10 rays showing. The years of operation are shown in between the new tropical knots that are featured on the primary logo for the club. The sun part of the logo (excluding the 'Honolulu' wordmark), is to be used as a patch throughout the tenth season.nice job everyone so far.
