Survival79
I can't remember seeing anything like this before on a football field. Anyone? sacker12
I remember seeing some kind of diamond pattern on the field last season, but I don't recall there being the patterns around the midfield logo.

AJM
Looks great. Would love to see more teams do this. TheOldRoman
I remember seeing some kind of diamond pattern on the field last season, but I don't recall there being the patterns around the midfield logo. The Carolina Panthers' stadium (not sure of the current name) has had diamond cuts for the past few years, but there were more subtle than this.It looks nice, but I would hate it if more teams did it. lahaye7
has a houndstooth pattern look to it. I am sore, wounded, but not slainI will lay down and bleed a whileAnd then rise up to fight again

Yac12
I like it. I hope teams cut a pattern with thier logo, either at the 50 yard line or one at each 20 yard line.

richie923
Yeah I was getting ready to say the Carolina Panthers (Bank of America Stadium) has been doing this, just not with the midfield design

Cola
has a houndstooth pattern look to it.You mean gingham, not houndstooth.Although houndstooth would be cool considering that it is Alabama and all.
kewp80
Reminds me of the Trailblazers' logo Never seen that done before, but I really like it. Then you can always do what baseball teams do and when you have special tribute days or whatever have something special cut onto the field. I've always liked fields cut in unique ways. I hope we see more of this come into football, and maybe even other field sports. Cardinals -- Rams -- Blues -- Tigers -- Liverpool Check out my music! jtthasportfreak
I thought the best was the bullseye look to Soldier Field's turf during the 1994 World Cup
myartsaywhat
I like it. The MLB fields have head some great patterns over the years and I dont think their is any reason for the football fields shouldn't do the same thing. Tennessee would look cool with the continued checker board look stretching to each end zone.
MotownMadman11
to me this just screams baseball and only baseball. but that's just my personal opinion. a football field is called the gridiron for a reason wouldn't you say? i can't say there's a need to make it "pretty."
