Yah I remember thinking that would be the first time I saw my team win a championship, oh well. I wish that soccer players didn't retire so much earlier from international games before they retire for their respected clubs. For example I know Rui Costa who retired from international play at the end of the 2004 Euro Cup, but played his last game for Benfica a few weeks ago. Dude same Hopefully we some of the Total Football from the DutchThat's what I want to see a return to. That style of football is what brought them to prominence in Europe in the first place. Just a great style of football, IMO.And yeah, I'm hoping that they can get over that Portugal Hump if they end up meeting. Certainly don't wanna see a redux of that ugly match in 06. Sweden, Greece, and Spain sounds like a pretty hard group to me. I haven't heard anything about the Russians though. Also Spain didn't do that hot in qualifying, if I remember correctly. Sweden is a much better team then Spain so it doesn't matter. It will tabulate the points based on:1pt for each opening round game you get right.2pts for each team that gets to the quarterfinals.3pts for each team to get to the semifinals5pts for each team in the finals10 pts for getting the winner right10 pts for accurately picking the player who scores the most goals.This is just for fun, but feel free to sign up as often as you want.
