It'll take a whole lot more than that, but it would be a good start for the Ravens.

No kidding! Purple, black, and gold could be used in so many attractive combinations...none of which the Ravens have used. Purple and black are too close in the spectrum, and from a distance it's hard to even tell it's the Ravens or Falcons or Jaguars, etc.

The Ravens need to make purple the helmet color and relegate the black to a secondary color, and maybe even use gold pants.

I posted it on another thread when I got reminded of the 2004 Graphite Jays Roads... so I did this to remind EVERYONE how cool these would have been.

Imagine that with the graphite hat...

And while we're on the Dodgers, had they moved to Jersey City they might have gone with something like that on this gag cap, worn at Spring Training in 1956 to promote the Bums' games at Roosevelt Stadium:

Actually, the Dodgers did play a handful of games at Roosevelt Stadium in Jersey City, NJ.

Yeah, sorry I didn't make that clear - the gag hat was worn before the press to promote those games, hence the wire photo.

But the Roosevelt Stadium games were O'Malley testing the water for a permanent move - he was already openly discussing the possibility of moving out of Brooklyn. Had anybody actually attended those Dodger games in Jersey City, they might have made the move and they might have worn that cap logo.

I actually came across this while browsing through some New York Jets clips on YouTube.

My guess is that it's probably a concept and not a prototype, but thought it was an interesting find.

Actually, I think that's a concept someone here did.

True enough, and the Ravens would be better off flipping theirs.

Falcons & Ravens?

What's all this talk about flipping the birds? :D

I flip the Falcons the bird twice a year. :-)

I think if the F in there logo was more prominent than more obviously looking like a Falcon, they should flip it. IMO it looks just fine.
