dbackdiehard17
I agree with a lot of what people are saying on this post about the logo...I really like the look (not a huge fan of the fall classic part)anyhow, i saw that people didn't seem to like the green (puke greenish color) so i toyed around on photoshop and colored in a much more ny jets-esque color green...i think it looks better even though its not as "fall-ish"... fall classic look aside, which look do you like better?i was just curiousPLUS: I think its a good tribute to the W.S. logos of the 1990's which somewhat incorporated this color scheme, which seemed to be popular...BUT I'M CURIOUS WHAT EVERYBODY HERE THINKS...Updated Green with a few minor color tweaksMLB'S WORLD SERIES LOGO (beforehand) High Quality Entertainment for the masses. rcb05
The whole point of the logo is to have fall colors, so why did you change the gold to bright yellow and the green to what looks more like teal? If anything, leave the gold alone and just make the green a darker shade.
Gothamite
Yeah, I'm not feeling those new colors. Better in the original, I'm afraid. The Green Bay Packers Uniform Database! Now in a handy blog.
Survival79
Yeah, I'm not feeling those new colors. Better in the original, I'm afraid.I agree. Man, that thing is going to look terrible on a Rays jersey. "If things have gone wrong, I'm talking to myself, and you've got a wet towel wrapped around your head." eRay
hmmmmm...Seems like I'm the only one thats not a fan of the overall design. I think it is solid, but not especially good. A lot of things bother me, and they all just seem like missteps, and it starts with the color scheme. Then the application of those colors looks very very off, and IMO the font choices are puzzling at best. The hierarchy of images is also very weird to me, it feels like everything is saying "look at our MLB logo!!!", which is not a new logo, or important logo to show people, as it is everywhere already. I don't know, put me down in the dislike category until maybe it grows on me.
simpsontide
I think it looks good....but not great. It will look good on an Atlanta Braves jersey in October and even better drenched in champagne.

CubsFanBudMan
I'm a fan of both recolors. Maybe it's my computer, but the original logo looks like some sort of New Era "twisted" recolor... and the colors don't really work for me. It doesn't say fall to me because the olive color throws it off. Again, could be my monitor.I like the logo itself, but for MLB's premier event, it seems to me that the MLB logo should be in it's real colors. TruColor
This probably won't mean a lot to most of you, but I thought I'd post the original logo, only with the colors modified for the sRGB color space. These colors will most accurately represent the colors if printed using spot colors (Pantone inks). Keep in mind that these are also best viewed on a calibrated monitor:The Red is actually Arizona Diamondbacks "Sedona" Red - it's more of a Brick Red. I think the only real misfire here is the home plate element. It washes out the visual impact of the red and gold leaves. The rest of the logo is relatively non-literal, so home plate doesn't need to be white. I also think the MLB logo would work better with gold in place of the green, but that's a minor quibble. The white home plate is the only thing that I would really count against this logo. It's a solid B in my book, and for an annual event like this, "adequate" might actually be a better result than "outstanding."
PeytonManningRocks
colors, blah...but i like the actual design. reminds me of the SAm Adams beer label. mmmmmm, beeeeerrrrr. That's what I was thinking of, I said to myself "this kinda looks like some food label" now I remember what it is.Too bad the logo looks crappy on just about any team's jersey. Hathaway Browne
Figured I'd take a crack at a different color scheme just for giggles...Love that colour scheme! Much better than the iffy green in the original. However, once you push past that its quite a good logo. Love the leafs.
goforbroke
Figured I'd take a crack at a different color scheme just for giggles...You left some red in the middle of the A's dude. :-)Here's my try. Darkened the green and made all the letters/numbers white to stand out. monotoned the MLB logo and also took out the highlights from the World Series font cuz I think they look out of place. Also, took off those two dots on the banner, they seem weird to me whatever they are supposed to represent. Just simpler and cleaner I feel (although it was sort of a rush job so "clean" might be a stretch)
