Gary
Topic's already been covered...http://boards.sportslogos.net/index.php?showtopic=59217Yeah, but that is talking about just the wrong cap...Now this is about the draft, noticed Brett Wallace who will be one of the next great ASU players in the Major Leagues(Ethier, Pedroia, Bonds, Reggie Jackson) was drafted 18th by the St. Louis Cardinals. After capturing the Pac-10 Triple Crown and taking the Sun Devils to back to back Pac-10 titles, and a possible Golden Spike Award winner(hopefully *KNOCKS ON WOOD*) he will be one hell of a 3B in the majors. Island_Style
Yeah, that's a whole different topic, DC. Actually, not even close.I got excited when I seen Buster fall. I was hoping the Marlins would snag him. They were just a pic short.
Cujo
Yeah, that's a whole different topic, DC. Actually, not even close.El_Duderino's original post was about the outdated Rays hat, which has it's own thread already. He mentioned nothing about the actual draft itself as far as who went where, etc. Go ahead if you all wanna expand on the MLB Draft though. I don't know a thing about the Cubs first round pick, TCU RHP Andrew Cashner. I can only hope he turns out to be the next Nolan Ryan.

And, as a Sox fan I can only hope Cashner turns out to be the next "Next Nolan Ryan" Kerry Wood. Just kidding. Anywho, I like what I've seen of Sox number one pick Georgia SS Gordon Beckham. Seems like a gamer.
Fred T. Jane
I knew Beckham was a great midfielder, but I don't think he has enough defencive prowess to make it in the majors...*rimshot* [Croatia National Team Manager Slavan] Bilic then went on to explain how Croatia's success can partially be put down to his progressive man-management techniques. "Sometimes I lie in the bed with my players. I go to the room of Vedran Corluka and Luka Modric when I see they have a problem and I lie in bed with them and we talk for 10 minutes." Maybe Capello could try getting through to his players this way too? Although how far he'd get with Joe Cole jumping up and down on the mattress and Rooney demanding to be read his favourite page from The Very Hungry Caterpillar is open to question. --The Guardian's Fiver, 08 September 2008 Attention: In order to obtain maximum enjoyment from your stay at the CCSLC, the reader is advised that the above post may contain large amounts of sarcasm, dry humour, or statements which should not be taken in any true sort of seriousness. Shumway
A kid I went to high school with was drafted by the Braves. I haven't heard if he's gonna sign or not, since he has another year at Georgia Southern yet. If I remember correctly, he was a Braves fan in high school. floydnimrod
The Cincinnati Reds drafted WVU QB Pat White in the 49th round, and took a WR from IU (I think) in the 11th. They could have the best QB-WR duo in the minors, and a better draft than some NFL teams.
