STL FANATIC Posted February 23, 2004 Share Posted February 23, 2004 On the IHL board I made a proposal to update our logo(s). I happen to like it a lot. I feel it's one of my better works, actually, though it is simple and based on our old logo.Just wanted to see what the board in general thinks of it. Some rounded edges are okay, but IMO this one has too many.I also think the puck would be better off centred in the logo, as opposed to sticking out past the L... I'd have the brunt of the puck over the H, and have the leading edge overlap the L a bit.Otherwise, you have an outstanding design. Way to go STL. The rounded lettering is OK on the IHL logo, but for the wordmark and conference logos, I agree with SyPhi that it's a bit much. Otherwise... nice! If you're going for a professional league look (as opposed to a minor league look), which I'm sure you are, it doesn't look right. I think a serif font for the wordmark would go great. To me, it all seems to fit together in a very tight package, especially using the same lettering on the conference logos as the league logo.I still think it looks great, StL. The only thing I really don't like is the full wordmark, the font doesn't look so great on that one, but on the main logo and conference logos it's great.
