2008 Arena Football Playoffs

Who knew Grand Rapids had it in them to stun Arizona at their place and then beat Chicago at their place?

I have a feeling, though, that this magical carpet ride for the Rampage is going to be coldcocked by a far better San Jose team come Saturday.

We need a 10 loss team in the Arena Bowl, though. It'd be a tremendous *bleep* you to the league's higher up.

Or be the perfect foe for Philly's scripted title.

Hmmm.....

Oh looky. Boston and South Florida again.

And who would they line up for Pittsburgh.

I see nothing about those suckers fools folks in Louisville.

And it's going to be Philly next year. JBJ has been actively campaigning for it.

Well didn't they say 2010 for Louisville?

I believe a relevant question is...will there be an AFL as we know it by 2010?

How many teams are dropping down to the af2 for next year?

Grand Rapids will take it's sixth(if you include the Detroit Drive) Arena Bowl Championship in a few weeks. No worries.

Who is this Grand Rapids you speak of? :P

All kidding aside I give props to the Rampage. Another Cinderella run much like Columbus last season.

Shhh. I'm still not over it. GD San Jose!

Kidding, though that was very exciting and it started my hatred for a team in the arena league. I can't stand the San Jose Sabercats. I hate the logo, I hate how f'in big it is on the helmet, and I hate the facemask Matt Grieb wears. Once you find a team to dislike it's alot easier to become interested in a league.

Nothing better than having the Rattlers & Destroyers as part of the SaberCat Arena Bowl victim scrapheap :D

The fact that any 6-10 team made the playoffs is something of a travesty. Either reduce the number of playoff qualifiers per conference, or award each division titlist a playoff berth along with eight wild cards without regard to divisional alignment. At least then you'd have had 8-8 teams from the east making it instead of 6-10 teams from the west.

Boston? South Florida? Pittsburgh? Louisville? Ugh. Pittsburgh by all rights should have an AFL team - the league debuted there and the city supported the Gladiators pretty well considering it was a really fly-by night league back then. New England's had at least three shots at the AFL already though. The Miami area is a 50/50 shot at best. Louisville could work as it'd be the only pro game in town to speak of though.

I agree, this is the closest I'll ever get to being a New England fan :P

But one thing I ABSOLUTELY love about this team is definitely this

Charles Wang, owner of the NHL's New York Islanders, is selling the Arena Football League's New York Dragons to an investment group led by Long Island native Steven Silva. The transaction is supposed to be finalized this month, pending the approval of the AFL's Board of Directors.

And if my footy game stays at 10am, I'm going to the National Conference Championship game at 1, and then to the Phillies game at 4. How awesome!
