2008 Arena Football Playoffs

Still, this isn't at the Wachovia Center like the last game was -- no way Philly has a chance in this one.

The 2006 Chicago Rush disagree with that

I disagree as well because the game the Soul and Sabrecats played earlier this year was not played at the Wachovia center it was played at the HP Pavilion. In other words, it was a road game for the team that supposedly has no chance. Therefore, theory shot.

I would like to see Philadelphia win so that city can get some sort of championship even if it's only on the Arena football level and because I'm tired of San Jose winning it all the time. They took away what was probably the Destroyers only shot at an Arenabowl championship.

Anybody but Philly!

Geez that was the worst call I've ever seen in my life the other night. New York got screwed royally

It was a fitting payback for the cheapshot that Dragon lineman John Nix put on Tony Graziani back in March basically ending his season. Luckily, the Soul had a proven winner in D'Orozio sitting on the bench. :D

But yeah it was an awful call.

Prediction: Soul 56 - Sabercats 49.

Okay, I was wrong I guess Philadelphia doesn't need this. I mean with all the MLL, NLL, and indoor soccer championships they're overrun with so many trophies they just don't know where to put them. Somehow I put the Arena league on a higher plane than all of those. The Calder Cup is a big deal, but still more people will watch the Arena Bowl than watched the Calder Cup. That's what I meant.

Well, it's not like San Jose as a plethora of titles to their name as well. They have the three (Possibly four now) Arena Bowl Titles, Two MLS titles (Should be four dammit), ad what? A Bay Ares Cyber Rays Founders Cup title?

Minor-league titles won't end the "drout". While it'll be really cool if the Soul can win, it will only serve to be listed as "Ahem5".

I hope the Arizona Rattlers fold. Just a thought.

Now that's not very nice! Just because they are the Sabercats rivals doesn't mean they should fold. Watch out next year for the Rattlers they should make the West Division a whole lot more fun.

just kidding :P probably the best rivalry in the league next to Tampa Bay-Orlando

Prediction: San Jose 65, Philadelphia 58

Dude don't scare me like that, and uh AZ-SJ is the best rivalry in Arena Football!!!

In order for it to be a real rivalry, don't BOTH sides have to actually win every so often? :P

Well, since the Arena Bowl is tomorrow...

San Jose 27, Philadelphia 0 in a defensive slugfest.

uh wow NO WAY in hell is it going to be a shutout, give more credit to both teams, what is this the NFL??? My prediction 73-70 Philadelphia

Giving credit to both team's defenses. Look at it this way, it might be the first shutout in AFL history.

True both have good defenses, but they also have great offense. There will be some interceptions for TD's and some fumbles, but I will say this D'Orazio will have 6 TD 1 INT, and 400 yds and will be the MVP of the Arena Bowl. Look up the 1992 Arena Football season, the first and only shutout happened on June 13, 1992 when the Orlando Predators defeated the San Antonio Force 50-0

Still, the last time Philly met the Bay Area in a football game in New Orleans, they got smoked.

Good point.

Prediction:

SJ: 1,114

PHI: -3
