I have the holy grail of caricature shirts. Pat Riley. Lakers Three-peat. Didnt happen. Millers Outpost, Bakersfield, Ca. $2. If I wasn't 14, stupid, and super depressed about the Lakers losing, I would've bought the lot. I'll dig it up later and scan it.

Is that place any good for finding cool stuff? Does it even still exsist? I should check it out before I go.

This was 1989 and I'm pretty sure the worlds been relieved of Millers Outpost. But it is Bakersfield, so who knows. Head down to the mall, get yourself some chik-fil-a, and check it out.

Millers Outpost was rebranded as "Anchor Blue", now in your nearest mid-income level mall.

Nope, not all of them. There is STILL a Millers Outpost in South Lake Tahoe, CA.

I know which one you're talking about. And to be honest, the corporation behind the store just probably doesn't give a darn, considering the clientele.

Well, not really all the rage, but they were more popular than I thought. And apparently, they weren't just limited to the NBA:

I remember I had the most godawful Patrick Ewing cariacture shirt. In retrospect, it may have been the ugliest piece of clothing I ever bothered to wear out in public. Some joker's selling it for 100 bucks on Ebay, to which I know not whether to laugh or laugh some more:

Oh maann. Check these out, the Kareem Abdul-Jabbar one is absurd!! And Bird looks hilarious. Holy crap:

Haha, I had a shirt with some of the Tigers from the early 90's. I have a picture somewhere of it, when I find it I'll scan it. I think it had Cecil Feilder, Rob Deer, and Mickey Tettleton. I can not wait to find it and see who is actually on it.

I had a David Robinson shirt. It was cool because he was in a Spurs uni and an anchor in the script below. I think it was during his service time. It was either that one or a Don Zimmer Cubs one. That was just funny. These shirts had a nice influence on me. I used to doodle the drawings all the time and started selling caricatures in this style to athletes at my high school.

Yeah, it's a pretty terrible store. I'm surprised that it's been there for as long as it has, especially in a town where average longevity of new business is about a year.

I have a Mark Eaton (Utah Jazz) one. It is now in a frame on my wall. I have been a fan of his since about 1988. I was a fan when he played. Still a fan of his charity work now.

My mother saw the picture and thought it was a caricature of me.

It is the same as this pin.... except the jazz logo is on the bottom.

Mark Eaton? Wow, that just surpassed Danny Manning as the most obscure recipient of an NBA cariacture shirt, IMO. Thanks for the link, I would have never guessed!

He looks like he saw Kim Kardashian and wanted to have sex with her :P

Are you making fun of Ray-J by any chance, or is it Reggie Bush now?
