NEW.ERA Posted July 27, 2011 Share Posted July 27, 2011 Brett was the reason I became a Packer fan in the first place, so it was tough to see him retire in March of 2007 and to come back twice, especially with one of our rivals, but even then I knew that Aaron was the future, and with the way McCarthy and Thompson handled it was amazing, telling the greatest Packer of all time thanks but no thanks were moving on with Aaron deserves more credit then anything. I just can't wait till they have Favre at Lambeau to retire number 4, and then we can finally put this all behind us. One, it appears that he, like a certain other famous Mississippian with a five-letter name, now has an impersonator running around.Two, now Colts owner Jim Irsay is hinting, however tenuously, at interest in signing Favre (the real one, presumably), if only to hold the fort down until Peyton Manning is finally healthy.
