I realize that the actual athletic teams in most cases wear different shades of Gold than this, but here are the OFFICIAL shades of Gold being used by Missouri, Wake Forest, and Vanderbilt:

I think that for their respective football programs, both Wake and Vandy are using flat "Vegas" Golds as well. Something along these lines:

Then what about these pants? What shade are these?

(BTW, that's what Missouri should wear all the time. Beautiful.)

Only Nike knows for sure.

Awesome. ColorWerx responded to me. Sweet.

Man, it bugs me to no end that the alma mater has that kind of color issues.

Huh? Hey - I'll respond to anyone (!).

Especially to someone who lives in a town I used to live in...

I lived in Columbia from...wait for it...1965 through 1969. I went to kindergarden there.

Sweet, the Devine era. He wouldn't allow that garbage.

And I wasn't being sarcastic. I've been here for three years and you're kind of a celebrity.

BTW, I graduated last spring and am now workng at my first job in the thriving newspaper business. But part of my heart is still in Columbia.

I have fond memories of Columbia as well, but I haven't been back since 1971!

Oh and BTW, I think I found what Mizzou is using for their Old Gold - as far as what's actually being used for their uniforms. They have an alternate Gold that is used for offset printing use only, but it looks more accurate as a match for their fabrics:

And for good measure, they also use a metallic Old Gold for the logos/decals on their helmets:

Thank you.

And that is sooooo annoying. Choose a gold, and stick to it.
