MLB: Tigers, I guess--but kind of half-heartedly.

Fair weather, bandwagon jumpers have (rightfully or not) tempered my enjoyment of the local teams. It's worst in terms of the Red Wings, driving me to adopt a completely new team--and moving in that direction with the Tigers. I'm on the verge of becoming a full-fledged Blue Jays fan any time now. I've said it before, and I'll say it again...Lions fans are the only real deal in town.

Milo, I am sorry you feel that way. You should have pride in your teams NO MATTER WHAT. I am always going to be a fan of the Pistons, Tigers, Redwings and Lions. Don't let your hatred for fair weathered fans ruin your fandom of these teams

I never was a big pro football or basketball fan, but I am with you Gary. I have been a Red Wings fan since 1978 (and the Tigers for that matter, too). Sure, I was a kid when I started, but lived through all the bad years of the 80's (Dead Wings). I know fans jumped on their bandwagon in the mid 90's, but I don't care. They are still my team.

I have a respect for Lions fans in that they still believe despite 50 years of evidence in the other direction. I just follow them because they're always on on Sundays, but I also believe that if they ever got it together JUST ONCE, they'd blow this town apart. I jumped on the Pats bandwagon because everybody hated them last year and they still took care of business anyway. As far as all the others go, I've grown up following them.
