Puck
Let's just have the NBA absorb the Harlem Globtrotters. They have the same sort of stadium deal as Seattle. They play a flashy game. They've already got uniforms and merchandise sales.Hell, they already have a team. BJ Sands
I'm not disappointed at all. Because disappointment would imply some expectation that the logo would be decent. And why would anybody expect this franchise to do anything decent? It's what I expected: Crap.

Honestly, when I see the new logo, I think the old KFC logobut hell thats as big of a stretch... except with the same text movement and both end with a "C"

CubsFanBudMan
Looks like that would have to be some kind of secondary. Strange that it's so generic it could work with any of the nicknames. Not promising so far.
Cooleyvol
That has to be the most stupid looking logo I could ever imagine for a team called Thunder.

I would like it more if it actually corresponded with the team nickname. Those logos aren't even remotely similar.I found the sloppy line elements similar. The supposed OKC logo shows a distorted cartoony basketball. Through looking at the distant photo, it reminded me of the circular checker board logo of Spain's football team (please excuse me for not knowing the proper terminology). williamherbert
Interesting, I went to http://www.nba.com/thunder and came up with a completely blank white screen. But when I went to http://www.nba.com/barons (just to test out another name) i got one of those "404 page not found" screens.Looks like we have ourselves a winner. The_Admiral
I thought someone said Clay Bennett preferred plural nouns. Maybe there's someone in the NBA Properties office who's just really pushing Thunder on anyone he can, like when NFL Properties seemed to make everyone use those same weird serifs on their new wordmarks. NFLprops has Really Into Futuristic Serifs Guy, and NBAprops has Really Wants A Team Called Thunder More Than Anything In Life Guy. ♫ oh yeah, board goes on, long after the thrill of postin' is gone ♫
