Waffles
Yahoo! News - Rockstar Games Announces Grand Theft Auto: San AndreasFrom the looks of things on Rockstar Games' GTA: San Andreas site, they're going for a early '90's West Coast Gangsta (think N.W.A.) theme.Bear in mind, in the original GTA, San Andreas was based on San Fransisco. Can't friggin' wait. Brass
Nice. Hope it's better than VC, but i dobut many games beat it.
Waffles
Just running through my mp3 (I mean, my legally purchased CD) collection, an early 90's soundtrack would be killer. Gangsta rap, grunge, alternative...Ice Cube's "It Was A Good Day" would be a perfect theme.
nitroseed
Two options that could have been even better:GTA: Sin City (Vegas) or GTA: Tokyo.

zer0dotcom
Two options that could have been even better:GTA: Sin City (Vegas) or GTA: Tokyo. either of those would be a great setting for the game. I just grabbed a copy of the double pack (i'm alittle behind) and I just can't stop playin them. The only thing they need to improve is make the cops just shoot at someone else otehr than you once in a while, I've got Columbians, riads and Yardies chasing me all over AND the police who don't shoot a them for some reason
slapshot
Nitro, I read the same thing about Sin City & Tokyo. Supposedly, Rockstar bought domains for all 3, to leave the final unveiling a big secret. I would rather have seen Sin City...imagine using all the casinos and other attractions in Vegas? That would be awesome.
nitroseed
Yeah, exactly what I thought! There's SO MUCH you could do with Sin City. San Andreas seems so boring, to be honest. I'm sure it'll be a great game, though. I loved GTA3 and Vice.
zer0dotcom
I think Vice City and Sin City would sound too much alike to be done
Guest Guest
Woo hoo! San Francisco was always going to be the go, but Vegas may well be #6 if they go that far.Best thing about San Fran? HILLS. And lots of them I smell car chases galore. Vegas just can't compete with that. And if they get enough real songs for a whole alt rock radio station? Heavenly stuff indeed. hrivnak
Damn it. I thought we'd get it on Xbox too, now that RockStar has an agreement with them. Oh well, as with EA and Madden, it seems we Xbox owners are second class citizens.(Aw, who am I kidding, I wouldn't have time to play it anyway.) zer0dotcom
Xbox is a good system, but yeah, it seems more nad more than companies are distributing for a single system. That really bugged me a few years ago when Squaresoft dropped the Nintendo games and went exclusivly to Playstation. I wouldn't see any reason not to go on Xbox as well. if anything, Xbox is a more powerful computing system, and it has a harddrive (no memory card neccisary, must be nice)
paynomind
I really wonder why it is happening. I'm a die-hard Playstation guy, and havent seen a SINGLE title on X-box that wasn't better on playstation, despite the xbox's better hardware stats. There must be a reason game creators are signing up with playstation. Maybe theior console is easier to program for or something. Microsoft is getting a taste of what it is like to be Apple. Perhaps technically better, but widely ignored by the software folks.Long live the playstation! PS3 coming soon!

But imagine doing it with blatant disregard for traffic laws and the well-being of yourself and others! also imagine, on the next GTA game set in san francisco, you can actually choose Jeff Garcia as your driver, and his special swerving capabilities!
