chestnutz
The recolored current logo looks slick, but you should probably be more creative with this big of a project.Still not a fan of the pinwheel or PB logo, but that basketball looking thing is pretty nice. erikas | go birds | dribbble
oddball
I'm trying to see how this is working. The wagon wheel... has to go. The colors aren't working at least on my screen because the red is too light and the gold(?) is too dark. Actually, there's probably a reason that they don't use gold in their uniforms, because it doesn't work. The colors as you have them now are at best depressing. Honestly, I'd keep it two colors, as that wheat/gold/tan isn't working. For a team called Trailblazers, the wordmark is too heavy, too industrial, it's just plain too stiff. There's no flow or movement to it. Skewing type doesn't always give you the feel of movement.

FiddySicks
I see where you're going with on the wheel logo, but I'd like to see the wheel more realistic. At this point it takes a minute or two to figure out what it is. I think the PTB logo is really creative as well. I LOVE their current logo that you've updated, easily the best one in the set. Conrad.
condensed my typeface (to make it 'quicker'), and made the 'T' more visible in the tertiary:i tried a couple different gold colors, but the yellower ones started to look too much like Heat colors. thoughts? Conrad.
so i want to include some kind of creativity with this, but yet retain some of the pinwheel logo, so i went about making different visualizations with the pinwheel:http://i67.photobucket.com/albums/h296/THE...d/ptb-ideas.gifafterwards, i found one i liked and finished it up a bit with these versions:im not completely happy with it because i wanted it to be a B, not a P, but i think its heading in a better direction with this project..thoughts? do these finished ones look like the best from my gamut of sketches? is there some other one u like better? where shall i go from here? oddball
I don't like the updated "PTB" I like the old one better. As far as those new logos... YESSSS!!! That's thinking outside the box and moving them forward! Those are great logos and look like the belong on the side of a car. Yes! Move them forward! I think the middle one is the most dynamic of them. Have you thought about ditching the colors and going with something different? Find color combination that aren't used in the NBA that much, and as I think off the top of my head that's pretty difficult. I think changing colors may help you push this past where you are and into new territories. Check out a color wheel online. You may find a set of colors that works for you and really makes this dynamic. I'm thinking maybe try black, orange and white as colors, or what about just black, silver and white. You have a great logo there, now push the color. Try brown and yellow, brown and gold, brown and red. Keep pushing. Ideas don't fall out of trees, you have to hunt them down. I think by you staying away from either a P or B, you took a huge step in the right direction to rebrand them. Stick with the middle logo and now play with color combinations. eRay
This is more like what I was getting at. I could see those working beautifully. They embrace the past, but also bring them properly into a new era. I really really like the pinwheel logo itself. I think the middle rendering of the pinwheel works the best, and it can be seen as the 5 lines(players) coming together to form one object(team) and one object(team) overpowering the other. I am not quite sold on the way the logo works with the text yet, but you are definitely going in the right direction IMO. Very nice job sir. Very nice job sir. That's a real interesting way of interpreting that pinwheel logo. I myself am REALLY liking that forward-motion pinwheel myself (the second of the three). Also, I'm loving the decision to go with the vegas gold as a third color. Amongst the red and black teams, that would lend the Blazers a little uniqueness. That's a big-time plus. *Disclaimer: I am not an authoritative expert on stuff...I just do a lot of reading and research and keep in close connect with a bunch of people who are authoritative experts on stuff. || dribbble || Behance ||

Conrad.
thanks for the kind words about my latest logo, im glad ive made the next step in this project...so, i went about cataloging all the colors of nba teams, and came about these colors are being fairly unique among the hoards of blues, reds, and black in the League:orangegreengoldtealwhite (as a 2nd color)so i found some light and dark colors of each of these are started to apply them to my latest version of the logo:any one of these strike well with your eyes? maybe a lil tweak here or there? any feedback is welcome...ps: do i need to make the "tail" of the top portion of the wheel shorter? also, i could make it a staggered downstroke like the top version of my last post of the black-gold-red logos.... chestnutz
To me, they all look pretty ugly. Black, lime green, and a greenish-blue? No thanks. You're right about there not being too many 2 color (white as secondary) teams in the NBA. The Celtics are the only I can think of off the top of my head. What about red and white? Maybe a TOUCH of silver or gold, and it could look classy I think. erikas | go birds | dribbble

eRay
None of those color schemes is working at all. Remember why I kept saying to stay with the general idea of the pinwheel; the history. The same can be said for the colors. IIRC they were Red, Black, and White from the beginning and added Silver fairly recently. I could see a variation of that scheme working best. Mess around with some of the colors a little bit, and think about the emphasis that your identity puts on each color. A Yellow/Lt. Blue/Navy/White team would look a lot different than a Navy/Lt. Blue/White/Yellow team, where the colors are listed in terms of importance. I'd try...Maroon/Silver/Black/WhiteRed/Silver/WhiteRed/Charcoal/Light Silver (No White)Silver/Red/Black/WhiteBlack/Silver/White/Red (Think Spurs with a tiny bit of red)IDK, just some ideas.
