MVP
I see mostly as simply changes to the interface when I saw Photoshop (didn't see anything else).
Jimmy!
600 bucks just to upgrade. Man, that hurts. "I secretly hope people like that hydroplane into a wall." - Dennis "Big Sexy" Ittner POTD - 7/3/
Davidson
let me have a look tomorrow. ive only really used the after effects. everyone else in the office is on cs3 andsome of the features arent backwards compatible so ive tended to just use cs3 for ai and ps.ae is very similar although it renders slightly faster. from what ive scouted from ai, its indistinguishablefor 90% of everyday use.id save your money, id have saved it from cs2 to 3 though.dont get me wrong, theres nowt wrong with it, it just doesnt warrant the money. fiasco!
The changes and additions to?Photoshop - Masks Panel, 3D object and property editing and especially Content Aware Scaling, which blows my mind and will save hours, maybe even days worth of effort each week.Illustrator - Multiple Artboards, Blob Brush (which is way sweet), and finally Transparent GradientInDesign - export to Flash function, Live Pre-Flight, Customizable Links panel, Cross-References, and Interactive Document Design.?all make it worth the upgrade for anyone that works in print. I understand how those on the web or interactive side may feel indifferent, but this upgrade is a print designer's dream. LinkedIn

eRay
What's "Content Aware Scaling" Joel?General IdeaI have never used it, but this feature seems utterly impossible to me. Seems too good to be true, and is probably more trouble than help.
SDX
The content aware scaling seems really good. However the image i have seen isn't that busy, will be intereting to see how it works on other images.
Davidson
here is it in action. this video was knocking about a couple of years ago before adobe nabbed it.its not on my beta so i dont have any experience.
pcgd
Looks like a good upgrade, and although I don't have much of a use for Content Aware Scaling, I can definatly see how it'd be worth any amount of money for a billboard artist.Unless I win a pretty good amount of money in some kind of contest, I'm thinking I'll skip 4. I just bought 3 about a year ago and haven't even opened all the programs yet...

fiasco!
The rumor I heard with CS5 is there is going to be a super-app that combines Photoshop and Illustrator. I don't know whether to believe it or not, but I don't like the idea. LinkedIn
