gingerbreadmann
Well I figure that since all but one of the matchups are set, and there could be a mini-playoff to determine that playoff, we can start discussing the Playoffs. Predictions, etc. too. Also, we have just learned that Beckett might be out for the playoffs, or at least the first round, due to an apparent oblique injury. !Right now it's:LAD-CHCPHI-MILLAA-BOSTB-MIN/CHWIf the White Sox lose tomorrow, it's Minny, and if they win, we get a nice old-fashioned playoff. No kidding. There IS hope, however. Terry is saying at this very moment Lester 1, Matsuzaka 2, Beckett 3. Tentatively. He did in fact have a strained oblique after a bullpen session. infrared41
My favorite team of the ones left is easily The Angels. I have liked them since Arte Moreno bought them. Plus, I work nights so I am always watching them on MLB Extra Innings when I get home. Still, I'll find it awfully tough to root against Tampa Bay. No idea who will win what but in order of preference who I am pulling for. 1. Angels2. Rays3. Dodgers4. Brewers5. Twins/White Sox6. Phillies7. Cubs (I am usually all about the lovable loser but too much of The Cubs thing seems more like fashion than anything else. I know they have their die-hard fans but there are also a lot of people following them because it's fashionable. Just an opinion Curty and I do not include you among the fashion fans. )8. Red Sox All roads lead to Dollar General.

VandyDelphia Mike
So - running by the predictions that have been offered to this point ... the team that inspired the Brewers to fire their manager ay the conclusion of a four-game series sweep in September and have to fight like hell just to retain what looked to be a certain wild card slot all of a sudden can't win a best-of-five series against same team? When they have home field? When they want to redeem themselves for being caught up in the Rockies buzzsaw a season ago?Yes, I am immensely biased. I just ask people to not so quickly dismiss the Phillies. NCAA Baseball Champions | 2014, 2019 facebook
FiddySicks
This is the best playoff lineup minus the Bay Area teams I've ever seen.
