fkaKrock5cent
Whats up all?I made this wallpaper to celebrae Navy actually bringing in a big tiem team to Annapolis (a city that has sadly addopted the nickname "'naptown" because.....we suck like that).I realize the navy wordmark is blury but its all I had to work with. (If anyone has their wordmark, let me know please.)Also, the color of the banners are colored to reflect the uniforms, not the logo. So, here it isPost away..... Drew22
Great wallpaper. But it seems like Navy has the same problem with golds and Georgia Tech does. They use athletic gold some places and vegas gold others. Eagles/Heels/Dawgs/Falcons/Hawks
Maz
Its good, but yeah, like drew said, Navy's inconsistency with the gold kills it.and...Hail to Pitt. Pittsburgh Arsenal - Elite Football League (NFL) - est. 2006
pcgd
Never knew they had checkerboards in the endzone. Cool.Indianapolis is the original Naptown. Unless Annapolis can beat early 1900s for the orgins of the nickname.

Jigga
Because both towns put you to sleep? I've been to both, and they are beautiful places. By the way, the wallpaper is amazing.
Cola
Well, if you want to get technical...I see a few things that bug me. One is the top banner...the "TOWN 2008" is a few pixels lower than the text to the left of it. Also, on the bottom banner- none of it is centered
gueman
I was born in worked in and live an hour from Annapolis, I have NEVER EVER heard it referred to as "Naptown". Were are you getting your info?As for the concept, it is kinda sloppy. Giving money and power to government is like giving whiskey and car keys to teenage boys. P. J. Were are you getting your info?As for the concept, it is kinda sloppy.Yeah, Its a new nickname that was dubbed I guess around 1-2 years ago now. Sadly, the pop culture cowd ate it up along with crocks and the good ol' LAX abbrivation (short for Lacrosse). Also, Navy has missmatched golds for as long as they have been using helmtes, so its a traditon thing. As for the sloppiness (sp), I'll address that tonight. Look for a revison and a metric but ton of pictures (from the game and afew of the homecomming celebrations) to come soon!
dwboiler
Indianapolis is the original Naptown. Unless Annapolis can beat early 1900s for the orgins of the nickname.Seconded. I can't believe we're debating which city is the nap-iest. Indianapolis: the city that sleeps. It is a boring town, but it is a really nice (and cheap) place to live. Its not NYC, Chicago or LA, but downtown and Broad Ripple can be alot of fun.Heck Carmel can be alot of fun if you know where to go.Did I mention its cheap? I could actually own a home here. Chicago...not likely on a Graphic Designers salary.
oddball
I'll tell you what I'd do. I'd ditch the font that you used on top and for "vs." and use a nice simple san serif font to contrast with the block fonts of NAVY and PITT. That's what's keeping this from being excellent. The font you used clashes with the itself and the NAVE and PITT wordmarks. Heck, Arial Black or just Arial would do you fine and give you a nice clean look. I just noticed a couple other things. The Navy vs Pitt is off center, you need to center that. Also the gold and white on the top and bottom should be removed showing more blue. The only place there should be gold and white is where they touch the photograph.
fkaKrock5cent
Ok, I revised the wallpeper and followed some of oddballs adice and used a sans serif font and used helmates as opposed to miss matched logos and added "homecoming 2008" to the bottom.C/C please

Like I asked were are you getting such silly info? And LAX for lacrosse had been used for more that 20 years. Giving money and power to government is like giving whiskey and car keys to teenage boys.
