Here's a quick idea, I tried to reflect the same design from the body on the bottom of the sleeves.

One thing, though, is that they kinda look like the player's wearing a vest... or is that just me thinking that?

The logo and color changes on the arms makes those jerseys light years better. Almost to the point I'd consider buying one.

The logo is WAY to big on the shoulders. It should never have been that big at all.

I would have liked to have seen that wordmark (only bigger without the number under it) on their old navy colored jersey.

As for you concept, I see where you are going, but I never really liked that logo. It looks really awkward.

I think it might even look a tiny bit better if you put the wordmark over the logo.
