To answer your question in short....I have no problem with standardizing the logo for the entire postseason. What I take exception to is the possibility that those logos intentionally incorporated a league sponsor's colors into sed logos.

If you had said that, with that emphasis, you wouldn't have come off like a loon, and you wouldn't have taken some a loon's well-deserved criticism.

Ahh yes....The sanitized board bit where you're told to "go away" when someone doesn't like something...God help us that one person think Bud Selig stinks...God help us all

Does this mean we can have the Expos back?

Judging by this season's Nationals record...You sure you want them back??

I'd take 'em back if they were 0-162.

Looking at the patch, I like it alot. It feels timeless and classy. It reminds me of the classic World Series logos of the early to mid-90s. i love the inclusion of the fall colors. They will look fantastic on the PHILLIES unis! Go Phils.

Dr. Kelso: My son is a big baseball fan. Not so much playing it, but more the designing and sewing of uniforms.

Tyler: That's neat.

Dr. Kelso: No, it's not.

does ne one have ne idea what the patch will look like for the hat and jersey this year?

Have we gotten to the point where typing the word 'any' has gotten so difficult that it needs to be abbreviated? I suppose typing one less letter can be a huge time saver when you add it up.

I just want to know why you hate Bud Selig and MLB's efforts to have a standardized logo package for the entire playoffs.

To answer your question in short....I have no problem with standardizing the logo for the entire postseason. What I take exception to is the possibility that those logos intentionally incorporated a league sponsor's colors into sed logos. Now, I will admit it is possible I have thought too much into it as stated by someone else on here. But, if the intent by MLB was to put hidden "product placement" in their postseason logos, then that would be my reasoning. As for hatred for Bud Selig...That's just years of mismanagement that has made my judgment there. I will absolutely not agree with the poster above you said Selig has been great for baseball. And I doubt many people will agree with him.

At least it's not as bad as these

random but true fact for all you phils fans that want to see what the hat patch will look like: usually in the LCS programs, new era will run an ad that will show a black hat with the world series patch on it. it was a bigger deal when the hats didn't debut until game one, but now they give our the fitted world series hats along with the league champions hat in the post game celebration. so you may see what it will look like as soon as wednesday. but if you do have a copy of the '08 NLCS program, check it out and see if the ad is in there.

Oh great....they made sure to incorporate the G*d d**n Mastercard colors in that logo too.....Typical MLB shills.

I dont even think Mastercard sponsors baseball. I keep seeing Bank of America commercials that say they are the official credit card of baseball.

And Bank of America markets (among other things) MasterCards. You do realize that MasterCard isn't a credit card, right?

As of at least last season, MasterCard was a big MLB sponsor.

Are you sure about that? From what I know (could be wrong) B of A has an exclusive deal with Visa.

I would have to agree with him. How has Bud Selig been bad for baseball? Sure he's had some faults, but under his watch baseball has set numerous attendance and revenur records, implemented the wild card and interleague play, reformatted the divisions, successfully expanded into 4 cities (2 of which have won World Championships, 3 have reached the series, and the 4th is one win away from also accomplishing that feat), implemented revenue sharing, worked out very profitable TV contracts, and not to mention cleaned up the doping issue in the game. Under Selig's tenure baseball has become a money-making machine and reached it's height in popularity. So please, what exactly is your problem with him?

I honestly think without Selig baseball in the US would be in a similar position to hockey in this country.

Obviously someone else possibly could have stepped up and gotten it to where it was, but dispite quite a few missteps, he's done a terrific job IMO.

I parused through all the topics and going slightly off-topic here, no one's Kavetching about the Rays logo... I wonder why :suspect:

The Ducks changed dramatically, you bitched, they started to win

The Red Wings moved their "A's" & "C's", you cried sacriledge, they started to win

The Rays look plainer than a can of Ralphs Supermarket beer from the 80's, they started to win

The Thunder decide to... oh god, they're still ugly

No one complained about the Rays logo? You didn't look too hard, did you?
