More disturbing than Pepsi's rebranding -- spammers. <_<

4 posts of nothing but porn links. I'm surprised he hasn't been banned yet.

But he's from Fiji...

Words just cannot describe...

EDIT: Sorry, didn't realize the design on the actual can was posted earlier in this thread.

The 2 liters will probably look even worse, also if the "smile" is based on the caffeiene, I wonder how caffeine free diet/pepsi will look like, lol

Either way its horrible.

which i'm sure puts me in the far minority of all people who have seen the new pepsi logo. lol.

Kind of reminds me of how the late 50's early 60's Studebaker logo that had gone bad!

Heres a video about the new look.

Its interesting they show all the logos so to speak, but the latest one they show is the 1998 one, not the 2003 change (different backgorundm pepsi globe is more shinier, font changed to a less round one).

I see tho that it appears that diet pepsi is silver, and caffeiene free diet pepsi is white with silver lettering, that is stupid, they shouldve made regular caffeiene free pepsi still use blue, but with gold letterings, and maybe the white part of the globe. ALso the smile clearly isn't based on the caffeine content as caffeiene free pepsi is the same as regular pepsi!

I give this 1 year until they at least modify it.

What I hate about the graphic design industry.

Supplement I.

Edit: You :censored:ing serious? The last thing I ever would have seen in this logo is a smile or a sphere "laughing."

The new logo is a white band in the middle of Pepsi's circle that loosely forms a series of smiles: A smile will characterize brand Pepsi, while a grin is used for Diet Pepsi and a laugh is used for Pepsi Max. The new logo is Pepsi's 11th in its 110-year history. Five logos have been introduced in the past 21 years, with the last update in 2002.

That second link, shows this

Someone messed up with the "1987" logo as thats the 1998 logo!

Pepsi had such a great script in 1950 that curved perfectly with the White part of the 1962 bottle cap. Why not just bring that script back and put it in the circle, like the inexplicably straight type is in 1971? Why would they fill a curved space with flat type in the first place? And then, why change the curved area into a smile? There was such a better solution, but then again, maybe this will catch on with consumers.

Maybe it's because I grew up with it, but the 1971 logo is my favorite. Everything has been a change, but not an improvement.

Yeah, that series of logos missed at least one -- after the 1971. There was a version like what they have labeled as 1987 in the 1971 scheme. Before blue. (EDIT: The fourth can in the right box. Also, it confirms that the one in 1971 is off, too. The second can in the same box has the right typeface.)

As I said before, messing with the globe messes up the brand in my mind. The more pictures I see, the more it confirms it for me. The current globe stands alone at at least two ballparks -- and last night the Marshall headsets had it on the ears. Will they really be able to do the same with all of these varieties.

And I failed to mention it earlier, but the new Sierra Mist honestly hurts my eyes. I can't stop trying to focus it. There's a travel ad with the gnome that does the same thing.

It is the corproate logo redesign equivilent of the infamous Diet Pepsi SB 40 ad campaign Brown and Bubbly.

I WILL consider selling all of my Pepsico Stock if this new logo campaign does Ciriculate on the street!
