vicfurth
I got MLB 2004 for my PS1 a coupla days ago. My main gripe about 989 sports is it's always been way too easy. First time I playes NCAA basketball on Playstation, I was winning handily. The only really fun game that 989 has made was NFL Xtreme. That never ceases to make me nearly lose 'cause I'm laughing so hard. Sadly they don't make EA sports for Playstation anymore . I need to update. Mac the Knife
How often do you get a new sports game, and do you get more than one of the same sport? I've only ever seen the need to have one football game, one hockey, etc... and I generally keep the same game for several years before getting a new update. How about everyone else? Yes and no.When I'm buying, I'll occasionally buy two or more of the same sport (baseball in particular for some reason), but some titles I really would like to have I don't, as some companies have eschewed releasing titles for the PC - a practice I don't quite understand.Anyway, with the exception of Madden, I don't buy every year. I usually buy a title once every three or so, unless there's some major change in the game that I specifically thought was lacking in the previous one. Discrim
How often do you get a new sports game, and do you get more than one of the same sport? I've only ever seen the need to have one football game, one hockey, etc... and I generally keep the same game for several years before getting a new update. How about everyone else? back when i had a super nintendo, i had madden 97, super play action football, tecmo super bowl 3, live 95, nba showdown, bulls vs blazers, nhl 97, national hockey night, and a couple mario games. and folks considered THAT a lot nowadays my to-get list is generally NCAA, Madden, NBA basketball, NCAA hoops, one of the NHL games, a baseball game and a soccer game. at times i've had two of the same sport, but most of the time there are noticeable differences (ex. gameday sucks in many ways, where madden shines in many areas), or one game has something that interests me (ex. the whole shebang of baseball games this year-even EA's effort...so i gotta get my blockbuster card out). i might stick with what i have, i might not. Phil
I'm an EA guy... can't wait for MLB Baseball 2004. It's MVP, not MLB.BTW, the game comes out March 9th. I have no excuse. That's unacceptable. Thanks fuse.I have owned Madden 99, 01, and 03; NHL 95, 99, 01; NBA Live 98, 00, 04; Triple Play 99, 01; PGA Tour 486, Tiger Woods 99; and I think that's it (all for PC).Coming soon... usually depends on the updates offered... as I mentioned MVP Baseball is high on my list, perhaps the next NHL game. I was very disappointed in the off-season options in NHL 2001... one of the things I really like is the franchise mode off-season free agency and drafts of games like Madden. With Owner mode now in Madden, I may jump for 2005. Maybe I'll check out NHL 2005 too.
NJTank
Wow I would have to classify this as a landslide.
mac
I am currently listed as a level 11 EA sports gamer because I bought Madden 2004, NHL 2004 and NCAA football 2004. I'm thinking aout getting the EA baseball game for the first time. In the past I've always gotten the sega baseall game, but I've grown used to the EA style and I think that they really put out a quality product.
