Phoenix Coyotes Jersey Question

I was thinking about wearing my new pre-Edge Coyotes authentic today for no good reason, so I pulled it out of the closet. Something caught my eye about the sand-colored areas of the front and shoulder crest. I gave it a feel, and it definitely didn't feel like tackle-twill.

It felt like... suede.

Those of you with knowledge better than mine, help me out: are the Coyotes actually using suede in their jerseys? Or is it some sort of reasonable facsimile?

For all the bird de lis haters I think the bird de lis isnt supposed to be a pelican and a fleur de lis I think its just a fleur de lis with a pelicans head. Thats what it looks like to me. Also the flair around the tip of the beak is just flair that fleur de lis have sometimes source I am from NOLA.

I have the same jersey and asked myself the same question the first time I felt it. Whatever it is, I like it.

Wow, you that is a pretty sharp observation. I just felt my Coyotes pre-edge jersey logo (authentic), then I felt my Edge jersey (not authentic though, premiere), and the materials are different, for sure. The pre edge one is more...furry, for lack of a better word. And the Edge one is more glossy and slick. I guess suede is pretty close in texture. Good find, anyway.

There is a material Stahl's makes (I think it's called sew suede) that sounds like what you guys are describing. When last I saw one of the color chains, they had that in black and brown. I've never worked with it myself, but that is a great use for it.

I also noticed that the first time I got mine. Certainly feels cool and looks cool up close. It's these kind of details you never notice on TV or watching in person. Buy more merchandise!!!(j/k)
