In 1965, UConn had a helmet that was half white and half blue. Here are a pair of photos from that year's game with Maine:

How about the 1962 Georgia helmet? Guess they hadn't see the Green Bay "G" yet. :D

This is a pic of the Tulane helmet from the late 1960s:

Notice how it is similar to the Texas helmet you posted? The Tulane coach who opted for that style was Jim Pittman, who coached at Texas prior to becoming the Green Wave coach.
