Francis10
I'm afraid the AHL is losing its unique identity (at least its teams are) and turning into NHL Lite. Who else sees that problem?it wasn't already? Actually, if you go back to 20 years ago this season, there is a higher percentage of teams that haven't adopted its parent club's identity (strictly in terms of nickname). 1988-1989: 5 out of 14 teams (36%) shared the parent nickname (Sherbrooke Canadiens, Binghamton Whalers, Cape Breton Oilers, Utica Devils, Adirondack Red Wings)2008-2009: 6 out of 29 teams (21%) share the parent nickname (Providence Bruins, Lowell Devils, Binghamton Senators, Quad City Flames, Wilkes-Barre Scranton Penguins, Worcester Sharks)

rams80
At least the Admirals have their own shoulder logo and don't need to rip off the parent team's one!I'm afraid the AHL is losing its unique identity (at least its teams are) and turning into NHL Lite. Who else sees that problem?Isn't that the raison d'etre of a AAA developmental league? And I have no problem with near major league hockey for minor league prices. But there is the far end of the pendulum's swing, where the league becomes exclusively about player development, and concepts like teams, fans, and victories are secondary. Unfortunately, some are inching in that direction. *cough*Calgary*cough* On 1/25/2013 at 1:53 PM, 'Atom said: For all the bird de lis haters I think the bird de lis isnt supposed to be a pelican and a fleur de lis I think its just a fleur de lis with a pelicans head. Lee.
The white helmets are not doing the Ads any favors here.Neither does having that ridiculous logo on the crest. The socks leave MUCH more to be desired than the logo.I like the logo. It's minor league for a reason. Welcome to DrunjFlix
KCScout76
The sky blue unis are sweet looking - I'd like to see a black helmet with that. The socks are ok - very nice job Admirals, it's also a great logo!!! cubfan1985
The Admirals wear the throwback Brewers patch on their sweaters because Brewers owner Mark Attanasio, as well as Brewers pitcher Ben Sheets, own the team.
Gothamite
True, but the Brewers actually pay for the Ads to wear it. It's a traditional sponsor agreement, and includes ads on the boards (we have blue lines, too) and stadium giveaways. The Green Bay Packers Uniform Database! Now in a handy blog.
