jojostephens4
Today the Wildcats came out unexpectedly in Black unis with blue trim & white lettering. AWESOME! These were also commemorative of former equipment manager, Bill Keightley. I hope they pull these out more throughout the year. jojostephens4
Two games in two days for Kentucky?Yep. Unfortunately, they came out flat again tonight and beat a team by 20 some that should've been beat by 50-60. Cool uniforms, though.

darkhaha
It's a nice look if you work in a circus. IMHO, Kentucky's entire new set is an unmitigated disaster, and I hope some sanity will return to Lexington by next year...

If everything stayed traditional and plain, everyone would get bored and complain that something new should happen. These are creative, maybe could've been executed a bit better, but still a good design. The black uni's still could use some blue in the lettering in some fashion...still trying to figure out how they should've done that right. oldschoolvikings
Its pretty simple... if blacl isn't one of your colors, don't wear a black uniform. duh.
PhilliesPhan1325
Man I already hated their uniforms for this year for being absolutely awful and ridiculous, and then these. Wow.
bigmike
I played Ncaa basketball recently and Florida had a black alt on there, they are the most ugly things I have ever seen, but for Kenyucky, bad look too, I think their whole set is just terrible anyways
Swampee
I don't mind the jerseys, but the short make them look like kilts.

While I don't particularly like the execution of these jerseys, I do think the black is understandable given the conceit of memorializing "Mr. Wildcat."http://www.kentucky.com/818/story/619296.html
McCall
Ok, I'll give them a pass, IF this is the only time they wear them, since it was for Mr. Wildcat, Bill K. But, now add that to the black K on the jersey and the "Mr. Wildcat" on the shoulder and I think you've properly honored the man. Ditch the extra jersey tributes and that black uniform after this season and go back to the traditional blue and white with silver accents. Artmanc3po
Hopefully it'll remain a one-off, but player comments lead me to believe they'll want to wear them again. I like the new set fine, especially because they finally ditched silver, but I don't want a black alt. I don't want UK to look like Duke or Florida. As a tribute to Mr. Bill, though, I loved it, just like last year when my Reds wore the Nuxhall tribute jerseys during intros on opening day, then Aaron Harang kept it on for the entire game. Auction 'em off for charity (that's what they said during the UK broadcast yesterday), then move on with the blue and white only. Also, I love the black and white K and the Mr. Wildcat band. They're only supposed to be here a year, then they're gone too. Got Cats!

Boring, and about 5-6 years past the "black-uni" zeitgeist.Really, really stupid, esp. when you're known as "Big BLUE" and you're in BLUEgrass country. Jeez.HOWEVER, as a one-time tribute to their equipment manager? Acceptable.

Heck, we are 1-0 in them, so I think we should wear them until we lose.

FiddySicks
The squares on the black unis look so subtle that in certain lighting they make the players look like poorly rendered CGI/Videogame charictars.

I'm not sure if he'd be a fan of the extra-long "shorts", but I'm sure he'd appreciate the thought. I have to admit, I shed a tear when everyone took off their shooting shirts and revealed that each jersey had "KEIGHTLEY" on the back.
