See Red
Darren Sproles is a backup RB who's capable of taking over a game once or twice a season -- no more than that. Paying him big money to be a starting RB would be a mistake for any team, in my opinion.

I can tell you that when the Falcons played San Diego, Sproles was basically bottled up and invisible to say the least. I'd agree more with InTheEnd's opinion. Tonight was basically an example of what he said.

JQK
Refs screwed the Colts in OT, but if the Colts D showed up on San Diego's final drive, there is no overtimeIn the end, the Colts let this one slip away... Stay Tuned Sports Podcast
WJMorris3
Refs screwed the Colts in OT, but if the Colts D showed up on San Diego's final drive, there is no overtimeIn the end, the Colts let this one slip away...Heck, maybe the Colts should have considered taking an intentional safety on the punt. Sure, it means a FG beats you, but you probably gain 30 yards on teh play.
NJTank
I would never do an intentional safety and let a FG beat me. You have to be up at least a Touchdown to do it. www.sportsecyclopedia.com For the best in sports history go to the Sports E-Cyclopedia at http://www.sportsecyclopedia.com

Besides the punter got a good punt off, the coverage on it sucked though.
IceCap
w00t!SAN DIEGO SUPER CHARGERS!Honestly, I thought they would lose this game. Coming back from 4-8 to take the AFC West from under Denver's feet was pretty much all I could have hoped for this season. To beat the Colts, when the consensus was pretty much that the Chargers would be steamrolled, well that's just AWESOME PotD 26/2/12 1/7/15 2020 BASS Spin the Wheel, Make the Deal Regular Season Champion 2021 BASS NFL Pick'em Regular Season Champion
habsfan1
Concerning the Cardinals victory tonight...It was the franchise?s first home playoff game since the then-Chicago Cardinals beat Philadelphia to win the NFL championship in 1947.My hat goes off to any longtime fan of that franchise. I never could of done it.
buildingmaint
Penalties were 9 for Ind 3 for SD, the crew refing the game threw the most flags for the most yards in the NFL this season. Funny how it was a 3-1 difference in penalties , knowing the history of that ref crew you would think it would be more even . I'm not saying that the flags thrown were not penalties , you could clearly see they were in the replays in SLOW MOTION . Kinda pay back for the ED Haughuley call aginst them . Cujo
Dear Bruce Allen,Darren Sproles is a ing MONSTER. Sign him to a huge contract ASAP. Sincerely, Tampa Bay Buccaneers FansFinally giving up on Cadilac Williams, I see. Sproles looks like a definite starter in the future. Instead of dealing him away like they did with Michael Turner, perhaps the Chargers should think about cutting loose Tomlinson instead. It's not like he's helped the team at all this year and it's very possible that he's past his prime.... Just something to think about.
mania
The most ironic thing about the talk that the "refs screwed Indianapolis", is that it was Bill Polian, after the 2003 AFC Championship Game, who pushed, with his status in the NFL Competition Committee, the far more stringent rules about defensive holding. It seems like every time I see him play he's running the pants off of people.Well it seems like the NFL is switching to a 2 RB system. It seems like every good team is having two players share carries just about equally. I do think Sproles would work well in this system. For the Bucs, he may be able to help keep Cadillac Williams healthy (like Jones-Drew has done for Fred Taylor). Or the Chargers may want to keep him to help extend Tomlinson's career. I could see him being very valuable to a number of teams.
jkrdevil
Can someone explain to me why when it's 3 and 1, third and goal from the one, and it's too far for a QB sneak that offensives go into a tight formation with no wideouts? That is essentially telling the defense that you are running the ball, and it seems that the offense always fails to get that yard. At least send out someone wide to try to keep the defense to lay it honest.
Cujo
Chad Pennington is once again proving to all of us that he's not, nor will ever be, a big game quarterback.Ed Reed's pick-six helps make it 13-3 Baltimore, approaching the half.
