stumpygremlin 471 Posted January 5, 2009 My school... Johnson & Wales University WildcatsPersonally, I like the crest better than the athletic logo. Two things about it. I know they just changed the logo to that recently. Does anybody have the old logo for comparison? Also, I find it interesting that the school's seal has a griffin (which could be a relatively unique mascot), yet the actual mascot is the wildcats (generic)

KCScout76 136 Posted January 5, 2009 Williams Univ - Home of the Purple Cows, Actually they are the "Ephs"From Wikipeida: The school's athletic teams are called the Ephmen, or the Ephs, a shortening of the first name of founder Ephraim Williams.

TimBoyee 0 Posted January 5, 2009 wyoming technical instituteThats strange, they have a branch of Wyotech in Davis, CA. I thought it was a school like U of Phoenix. Anyway, heres the logo from the school I go to, Sierra College.WyoTech is a proprietary for-profit technical college in Wyoming.
B-Rich 1,219 Posted January 5, 2009 St. Peter's - Here come the Fighting Peacocks!!!Aaagh! Too gaudy. I prefer this older one: Converse College Valkyries (formerly the All-Stars)Nice adaptation of a lesser-known, hardly used mascot for women's teams. Why this isn't used more (especially as a female counterpart to Vikings) is beyond me. And the U.S. Coast Guard Academy BearsWhy is the US Coast Guard Academy called the "Bears"? One would think that with all the appropriate nautical imagery they would have come up with something better. I mean Air Force = Falcons, Navy = Midshipmen (ram mascot), Army =Cadets/Black Knights (mule mascot), and Coast Guard is the BEARS?Here's a team from up in the New England area, Brunswick, Maine - home of the Polar Bears, Bowdoin College.Wow! That Bowdoin logo is incredible! Simple, unique and hard to tell when it was made - really great! Puts the schlocky Pioneers flag waving logo above it to shame.Seconded. A solid, classic logo, and interesting, strong nickname....
JimmyN64 828 Posted January 5, 2009 My school... Johnson & Wales University WildcatsIsn't this a culinary school?Actually it's a business school. It just so happens that the most famous alumni is Emeril Lagasse, so everybody instantly assumes that it's purely culinary. But when lunch time comes around, I do appreciate that the culinary programs run the dining halls.

I agree - and Converse is an all-women's school, so it fits perfectly.

But when lunch time comes around, I do appreciate that the culinary programs run the dining halls.I also saw one of those quasi-reality shows on food network awile back documenting a group of culinary students at JWU. That more or less gave me the idea that its a culinary institution.

FiddySicks 11,198 Posted January 6, 2009 That Sierra College logo might be the angriest looking college logo ever. What is the mascot? A hound? I thought it was a bat, for a second there.Actually, we're the Wolverines. We have a pretty weak logo package, but this was designed by the rugby coach and the AD liked it so much he's trying to make it the school's primary.
