Brendan
Looking at the Scout.com Mock Draft this is who they have in the Top 5 of the upcoming draft1. Detroit Lions: Mark Sanchez, Quarterback, Southern California2. St. Louis Rams: Michael Oher, Offensive Tackle, Mississippi3. Kansas City Chiefs: Eugene Monroe, Offensive Tackle, Virginia4. Seattle Seahawks: Michael Crabtree, Wide Receiver, Texas Tech5. Cleveland Browns: Aaron Curry, Linebacker, Wake ForestAccording to them, Andre Smith goes number 7 to the Oakland Raiders and Stafford goes number 10 to the San Francisco 49ers. They have the Lions taking Lauranitis with the 20th pick and Ebin Britton the Offensive Tackle from Arizona with the 33rd pick. Edit: Just noticed Javon Ringer going with the Cardinals with the 63rd Pick in the second round. Make it happen ArizonaPlease make let that happen. After seeing Fitzgerald take over games during the playoffs I would love to have a guy on my Hawks who could potentially do that, and Crabtree showed in College that he could be that guy. Hasselbeck to Crabtree has a nice ring to it.The Seahawks are in desperate need of a big time playmaker, and Crabtree definitly fits that.A slot receiver is a playmaker?Go look at the some of his highlights and how well he uses his hands to catch the ball. He's an amazing athlete and if the Hawks are lucky enough to get him your Rams should look out.I'll surrender 3 or 4 yard catches all day. Blow one, and you have to punt. He's not Fitzgerald level. He's the beneficiary of playing in a nutso system in a Conference that has completely forgotten how to play defense./Assuming the weird receiver jinx that permeates Qwest doesn't get him first. I swear, that stadium must be built on an Indian burial ground.Scouts aren't naive they're not gonna rate a guy that high just because of his numbers. Look at Colt Brennan and other system players, were they projected to be top 5 picks? No because they didn't have the amount of talent that Crabtree has. I wouldn't put Crabtree in the same class of prospect as Larry Fitzgerald, Calvin Johnson, or Andre Johnson as prospects. I'd even put him behind Braylon Edwards in terms of being a prospect. I do think he will be a very solid pro. I'm thinking Anquan Boldin or Dwayne Bowe. Just an all-around solid player. However, I don't see him ever reaching the same level that Fitz, CJ, or AJ are going to rise to...

FiddySicks
Tampa Bay just released DERRICK BROOKS, Joey Galloway, Ike Hilliard, Cato June, and Warrick Dunn. I'm not gonna freak out just yet, because it seems as if they're setting up for an enormous move. But here's my take on the players cut. Derrick Brooks - This means he's probably going to retire. I'd assume he informed the team he was going to retire so they cut him to help their cap number. I'd assume that it's more of a "buyout" than anything. Tampa is horrible to their legends, but no way they're THAT stupid.Joey Galloway - He was getting up there in age anyway and was hurt basically all of last season as it was. His release doesn't shock me. Ike Hilliard - Again another old player, and it looks as if the youth movement is in full force in TampaCato June - This one is a bit of a head scratcher, but he hasn't really had the impact that we all expected.Warrick Dunn - I have a feeling that this means Tampa is planning to make a run for a big time running back, either through trades or FABut if Brooks and Dunn (not the band) don't hang it up, I'm definitely going to lose even more respect for the Glazers. It's one thing to cut players who are going to retire to help your cap number, but if they sign elsewhere I think it's time to really lay into the Glazers. The way they've treated players like Sapp, Lynch, Rice, and others is really uncalled for. On 11/19/2012 at 7:23 PM, oldschoolvikings said: She’s still half convinced “Chris Creamer” is a porn site.) And June too for that matter, we need LBs. Speaking of the Saints, glad Galloway's gone. He torched the Saints unmercifully during his time with the Bucs.I hope Warrick Dunn plays elsewhere. One of my favorite players, similar to Deuce McAllister not in size or style but in being a warrior on the field and a class act off of it.
