Royals Insider
The Royals have unveiled their 40th Anniversary Logo. The logo should appear on all four jerseys this season.

chargersfan
Nice logo. The Padres will also be wearing a 40th anniversary patch in 09.
LEWJ
This actuallyt looks very nice.I love that there are still no traces of black, and the baby blue is getting some more use.And that simple beveling, on the "40", really does the trick. | BROWNS | BUCKEYES | CAVALIERS | INDIANS |

Arts11
Nice logo. The Padres will also be wearing a 40th anniversary patch in 09.I love seeing the "swinging friar" logo. A lot better than the boring sandy waves logo they have right now.
KCScout76
I like it - they did a nice job of incorporating the skyblue into it. SD is nice also, I love the swingin' friar. Artmanc3po
Both terrific, but I sure wish the Pads had used brown, yellow and orange!
Billy B
Both of these look great. The only thing that bugs me is the beveling on the Royals logo. If they would have just made the 40 solid (maybe with an outline) it would have been better.

FlugelHorn
Nice logos for the Royals & Padres.Regarding the other 2 expansion franchises from 1969, I wonder what the 40th-Anniversary logo would have looked like for the Expos and for the Pilots. One can dream..... Maybe the Pilots would have used the ship's wheel as the "0" in "40".
JayJaxon
Very classy looks for both patches. I love the swinging friar (as does everyone else) And the Royals patch was very well executed and it's going to look great on the jersey.
Joshawaggie
The Roylas' logo is nice, except the "40". Especially the "0". Yeech. @josh_j12 CFA- Fargo Bobcats

The_Admiral
It'd be nice to see the Exponats come up with some sort of Montreal/Washington 40 Years patch, but the Nationals are still claiming that they were established in 1905 or 1894 or 20X6 or something. ♫ oh yeah, board goes on, long after the thrill of postin' is gone ♫
McCall
Here is a larger image from the official guide.Note: This is not color corrected like the ones Colorwerx has been posting.Change "40th" to white trimmed in gold (no beveling) and ditch the beveling on the "KC/Crown" logo at the bottom, and you have one of the best anniversary logos. As is, it's a good logo, especially when compared to some past ones, but the beveling, especially in only a couple of places, is a little distracting and actually brings the appeal of the logo down. But there is definate promise there, if only a few tweaks were done. https://dribbble.com/MakaioCall
