dwboiler
I guess it's a cultural thing, but the idea of gambling websites advertising on a sports team's uniform is just so dang weird. If social mores in the U.S. allowed it, you know Golden Palace would be jumping to get on an MLS kit.As for Serie A, they don't need questionable shirt sponsors to tarnish their credibility. It is definitely a cultural thing. In England (and probably the majority of Europe) gambling is much more accessible. I lived in a small town in England and we had several casinos as well as some stand-alone sports books. However, the citizens didn't make a big deal about the casinos. The people there seemed to be more level-headed about the gambling as well.I think the only real fear I would have is that a casino having a financial interest in a team might increase the odds of point shaving. However, as we've seen before it can happen anywhere.
