Rich Eisen just announced during the Hall of Fame Inductee announcement that the Hall of Fame game will feature the Tennessee Titans vs. the Buffalo Bills.

He also announced that the Titans will be wearing 1960's era Oilers throwback jerseys, and the Bills will also be wearing throwback jerseys (most likely the ones we've seen a lot of recently).

The game is to commemorate the AFL 50th anniversary, featuring the Oilers and Bills which were some of the original AFL teams.

Will the game, be broadcast in black-and-white too?

I love me some throw-em-back's!!!! I wish every team, in every sport, wore throw-em-backs full-time!!!

Wow, you're still here? I thought you'd be embarrassed into seclusion by now.

By the way, the whole "throw-em-back" thing you've been doing for a while, It's not really catching on,

so please... just stop it.

I noticed the schedule has the Jets at Chiefs sometime next season.

Impossible. The AFC East doesn't play all four AFC West teams next season, and since the Chiefs finished last in the West, their East opponent would be the Bills, who finished last in the East.

On topic: The Bills being involved makes me extra excited :)

That's correct. Jets' AFC West opponent in 2009 is Raiders (in Oakland). Both teams were third in their respective divisions.

Bills and Titans do play each other in the regular season, too, in Tennessee.

I'm guessing that this means the return of the silver helmets with the jerseys that have the round gothic numbers on them. That will be a very interesting look.

The Oilers' original uniforms had blue helmets. It was later in the sixties that they had the silver ones. However, the Bills' original helmets were silver.

It would be interesting if the throwbacks were 1960 vs. 1960. Then you'd have:

* - Oilers in blue helmets with the derrick (no red outline) and one white stripe with the rounded numbers.

* - Bills in silver helmets (did they have numbers on the side?) looking quite a bit like the Lions '30s throwbacks as I don't think there was any red in that set.

But I bet it will probably be early 60's Oilers look vs. mid-late 60's Bills look. And that would look mighty good....
