Burning River
I saw some highlights of the Sharks at Bruins game. I could swear that when the Sharks scored, the Goal Horn Sounded too. When the Bruins scored it appeared lounder, longer and a multiple "honks". (Insert joke here) When the Sharks scored, it was more faint and rather short.Am I hearing things? Do other NHL teams do this?
speedy
Yes, you heard right. Boston sounds the horn once every time the away team scores. When Boston scores, it's usually sounded 2-3 times followed by Zombie Nation.
jonas1111
Versus is the only broadcaster who does that, when the away team scores they do a little horn.
NEW.ERA
I know when the Flames beat the Wings in the 04' Semi Final in OT the Horn seemed like it never ended the car ride home all I could hear was that horn and all i could feel was the Flames that shoot out (Best goal celebration in the NHL)
Burning River
Thanks Speedy! I just have never heard of that. I've been to quite a few sporting events. I've never seen that (all goals celebrated by horn/siren/etc.) other than an All Star Game.NEW.ERA.PANDA ...Your name has 3 "periods" but, your statement has zero. I really don't know what you are talking aout...
whalersjets
It's not the Bruins doing it, it's Versus. Versus for some reason plays a sound effect of a goal horn when the visiting team scores.
