I couldn't stop laughing at this "logo" when it first came out then...now that it's been brought back out, I can't stop laughing at it now!

I don't have the Pirates' original logo - a Black and Silver skull and crossbones...this original logo is also the same logo that the Pirates are currently using.

Quad City Steamwheelers - 2004, 5th Anniversary Logo:

Note: In 2008, the Steamwheelers' Navy was slightly modified (from 289 C to 282 C). This change was so minor, that I chose not to "re-color" the primary logo to reflect that change.

They might be for the team's fan clubs.

As a kid, I spent a lot of time in and around Mobile (I had grandparents who lived in nearby Bay Minette)...yeah - I would say that was a poor nickname choice.

The civil rights movement took a while to take hold down there.

Hey PanWerx, or ColorTone, there's been a debate at work about whether the Dorados or navy blue or actually a shade of purple. The team says it's navy blue but I'm not sure.

The team calls it Navy, but it's actually Dark Purple.

In fact, it's the same Purple that the Baltimore Ravens use in their uniforms.

The New Orleans Hornets use it as well (as of this season).

Deck Mates is the cheerleading squad, I believe. I think the CC is either VIP seating or a fan club. (Former season ticket holder.) I'll add that I'm not a huge fan of their logos, but I love the colors and the way they use the smokestacks on the helmet.
