JamieRose
Here are the preliminary logos for the Providence Waterfires, my fantasy baseball team in the newly formed NABL. The name is based off of Providence's famous Water Fire festivals which at least were unique to the city. Right now I have wordmarks and a cap logo, but I'm not really sure where to take it from there. I know with a name like Waterfires that I could come up with something really unique, but I'm really struggling to figure out what it should be.So without further ado..I am wide open to suggestions in any aspect, the only thing my heart is set on is the name. patsox
I would use colors that better represent the look of the Waterfires like blue and orange maybe? For anyone not aware:
Beast Mode
Maybe a burning raindrop? This is too bland, sorry.
Drew22
Make the f in 'Waterfires' more of an F. It looks like a straight line right now.
CDunn
The burning raindrop is a cool idea. Just have to be careful that it doesn't look to much like the Helio logo.
TBGKon
I can imagine fire wrapping around the water drop like the Firefox logo.
TalktoChuck
I can imagine fire wrapping around the water drop like the Firefox logo. That would be pretty unique. And I agree with Patsox, switch the yellow with orange.
Krona
i think working some kind of gondola/torch imagery in there would work for a logo
dgthree
I agree, I would take the things from Waterfire rather than taking the fire. It is a unique event in Providence. The Gondola's are good, I was thinking maybe more along the line of F. Scott Fitzgerald Royalty type thing (the dancing by the Turks Head), or maybe something more Gothic along the line of the Turks Head and the underpasses of the waterfire with the old stone.I could be way off, but just water/fire is a little boring, especially if you are going so specific with an event like the waterfires. JamieRose
Well, here's a logo. Supposed to be the basket of flames over the water in case you can't tell.I'm quickly beginning to realize that logo making is not my bag at this point in time. Modifying, yes. Uniforms, yes. Original logos, god no.People can feel free to hijack this thread.
TalktoChuck
The basket looks good, but the water doesn't look like water. Try adding more than one wave. And make it look a little more fluid. It's a good start but needs some refining.
santoleri3
What about a drop of water... a baseball in the form of a drop of water, ie, a drop with stitching, but yet it still tapers up (or to the NE or NW) to a point, like a drop of water. And that point kind of morphs into flames?
Beast Mode
Good idea santoleri.

patsox
What do you think? Some knock-off i did. Feel free to take and editI think it's absolutely terrible.
JayLo1112
What do you think? Some knock-off i did. Feel free to take and editI think it's absolutely terrible. It looks like the kool-aid man was lit on fire. But if you can find some middle ground amongst all these suggestions you could probably come up with something really cool and unique.

Try going in the helio direction, just add a flame on the side similar to the firefox logo.

logoman
These are in the very early stages. Playing around with color combos and placement.
TalktoChuck
I like the second option better logoman. Those are really good. I'd get rid of the second shade of orange on the second one though. Have one shade of orange and it will look better.
