Very true, I like that. Not sure how much he makes a year though.

Nokelainen leaves Boston to go to Anaheim for Steve Montador.

Jokinen is going to Calgary for Lombardi, Prust and a 1st round pick.

Sad to see Lombo go but we've been after Jokinen for the last 2 years and now Olli will be in the playoffs.

And LEO'S BACK sures up are back end.

I could be wrong but I don't think Olli has been in the playoffs before?

Yeah he never has holds the dubious distinction of playing the most regular season games without appearing in the playoffs.

That's what happens when you spend your career on a beach, then a desert...Now he's in a real hockey city!

An astonishing 723 games (so far and according to Wikipedia) without a playoff appearance.

Exactly, Olli works well with Mike Keenan and just to clarify the deal

To Calgary

Olli Jokinen

3rd Round Draft Pick

To Phoenix

Matthew Lombardi

Brandon Prust

1st Round Pick Calgary has the option to say if it's this year or in 2010.

And were not done Calgary has to clear some cap space by 3pm I believe so stay tuned for one more deal at least.

Is there a clause in there that has Phoenix moving back to Winnipeg? :P

Probably not but this trade is win win for both teams Lombardi needed a fresh start and I think he can help Phoenix for the future and you get more grit with Brandon Prust but he has to get over his concussion.
