AJM
i highly doubt he will wear 0. I'm guessing it is a placeholder until he decides on a number. While I wouldn't mind seeing him wear #0, I doubt he will becasue the NFL would never let him!Current NFL uniform regulations (established in '73) state that a QB is only eligible to wear numbers 1-19.If Cassel wanted to wear #0 he would have to request/petition Goodell to wear the number. Seeing as Reggie Bush was denied in his petition to wear #5 (even though he pledged to donate 1/4 of jersey sales to Katrina victims), I doubt this will be the case.My guess is his college number at USC. oddball
I'd love to see him wear 0. When he shows that he is the next coming of Scott Mitchell, we can all call him the Big Zero. That's right KC, you traded for an over-priced, over-rated backup QB who only looked that good because he was on the team he was on. Of course they could've done just as well by drafting that other over-rated QB that is coming out of USC this year. Hmm, let me try and figure this out Matt Lienert, Matt Cassell, and Mark Sanchez? All coach killers. I hate to say this, but Southern Cal QB's are only as good as they are because of the system. How are they paying this money and traded for a QB with one year of starting experience? And why would anyone draft a QB and pay him godly numbers for a guy who started one year? All three of these QB's have one thing in common, potential. I don't want potential.

Also, is there some reason you left Carson Palmer off of your list?

erlovepuck
FYI it seems that zero is the standard number used by the NFL Shop until an official number is issued as Cassel isn't the only one:

tBBP
As was I, which might be why he changed it after the preseason. That Cox made it onto the field at all with that jersey is wild enough, even during preseason......but then, it WAS the Patriots he was with after all. If any team was able to get away with something like that, it figures it'd be the Pats. EDIT: Oh--and in case no one's caught it yet, the jersey is without TV numbers.(On an entirely different note, am I alone in this, or does anyone else in here think the Patriots seriously need to look at simplifying their look a good bit there? I mean, I see entirely too many things going on with those uniforms there. And BTW, was Cox the last player to actually use that "headboard" in his shoulder pads or are any other 'backers out there currently using anything like that? Haven't seen one of those for a while now...) *Disclaimer: I am not an authoritative expert on stuff...I just do a lot of reading and research and keep in close connect with a bunch of people who are authoritative experts on stuff. || dribbble || Behance ||
