hrivnak
This is on the Thrashers' season ticket renewal page. Wonder if it'll show up in patch form:I hope not, because, dear God, it is ugly...
royal rooters
I know they're not the same but the way the colors run in the "0" reminds me of the "C" in the old 80's CBS Special Presentation opening.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oiUcVp6i1tM
BrySmalls
Holy that's brutal. Are they trying to form an "L" with the "1"?
Sodboy13
Holy Jesus. I can't figure out what they're trying to do with any of that. I'm beginning to think the Thrashers fancy themselves as the NHL's answer to the University of Oregon - "Well, we could have a unified, pleasing aesthetic and identity, but let's just go bat crazy instead and get noticed!"Elements of it remind me of Super Breakout and Magnavox's Odyssey² system. In other words, the late '70s vision of 2000, rendered in 2009. Now, if you'll excuse me, I have to go wrangle up some gin and Tylenol.(and then you do the rest of the damn thing in friggin' Impact!) Brass
I think it would look 100% better without the "AT" on the left side. Just get rid of those letters and I think it's a nice looking logo.
TFoA
Holy Jesus. I can't figure out what they're trying to do with any of that. I'm beginning to think the Thrashers fancy themselves as the NHL's answer to the University of Oregon - "Well, we could have a unified, pleasing aesthetic and identity, but let's just go bat crazy instead and get noticed!"That's exactly what they're doing. Lord knows that nobody but Thrashers fans and few others actually like their home sweaters. But wow. That is a funky patch. Definitely a LONG way away from their classy 5th season patch. tBBP
That's exactly what they're doing. Lord knows that nobody but Thrashers fans and few others actually like their home sweaters.Thank you for confirming what I've long suspected about those "true blue" monstrosities. Those things really shoulda been left to 3rd/alt status. Makes me really miss the old Thrashers sweaters now.And OBTW...that logo/patch-whatever-it-is-supposed-to-be is just horrid. Like something out an old Atari video game or something. Burmy
At least my Wild (and probably the Blue Jackets too) will come up with something classy, right?

TalktoChuck
If that is the patch (which I hope it's not) it is pretty bad. And has it already been 10 years? Seems like just yesterday the thrashers skating into our lives.
oddball
This is on the Thrashers' season ticket renewal page. Wonder if it'll show up in patch form:I hope not, because, dear God, it is ugly...I don't know where to start, but it's an epic failure. If I would've attempted to hand that to one of my teachers while I was in school it would've been thrown back at me. I would've gotten a "Don't waste my time and give me this ________!" The colors are horrible and all over the place, I realize they are team colors, but they are bad. The "font" used for the "A" and "T" is horrible, the combo of the "L" and the "1" is poorly executed and and so it the bird "0" logo. Oh and let's not forget the fact that they are using the "ATL" reference. The ATL? Um when has Atlanta ever been anything to call themselves "the" anything? Oh wait, maybe "The Buffalo Bills of baseball". Oh and how about, "The fans that don't care enough to show up to it's only franchise that wins". I'll use the quote from Rich McKay on the early Tampa Bay Buccaneers team and their execution in reference to this logo, "Execution? I'm all for it."
