We've had at least one or two threads regarding this original 'Quakes logo set. From what I can tell, they originally had a version of the primary logo that had a Light Yellow (or "Yellow Shock") sunburst behind the ball. The argument is that it was a prototype or unused version of the logo. I tend to agree.

This has got to be one of my favorite color combos. Does anyone know about the other Earthquakes logos that Chris has up on the site? I've never seen them used in a official capacity.

It's unfortunate that the second incarnation doesn't have the Richter scale (tremors) in the wordmark.

I agree with you. I've always liked that little extra detail.

I never noticed this before, but are there two different purples in the crest? One lighter purple above the soccer ball and a darker purple below the "HQU" in Earthquakes.

Unfortunately, I don't have the newer version of the primary logo with the two stars above.

I see no character, only a logo that was a result of someone that was tripping on a :censored: load of acid.

(Thanks, Alex!)

Last set for now...I have a bunch of league/conference/misc. logos that I'll get to later. And, as I get some of the missing team marks, I'll post 'em as well.

The hardest stuff to find - at least in an official capacity...

...and probably the strangest (and most confusing) color palette that I have in my database.

I have some official documentation that lists the Clash colors as Black, Red, Celery Green, Light Teal, Forest Green, and White. The Forest Green was only present in the uniforms (from what I can tell). However, I have also seen this set listed as official - Black, Varsity Red, Chile Red, Celery, Cloudy Jade, Juniper, Dark Spruce, and White.

Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

The team may have changed colors and color names after the first season once they went from the wild half and half kits, to the classier "cloudy jade" jerseys from 1997-99.

I can't find the original jersey, but trust me it would be painful to see.
