Whats the story behind the Orr North Stars pic?

-Dan

Any reason this needed to be a separate thread?

Probably because the other "Legends in the Wrong Uniforms" thread turned into the "Any Player You Can Think Of in a Different Uniform Than You Were Used To Seeing Him In" thread...somewhere around page 5 or 6.

*Disclaimer: I am not an authoritative expert on stuff...I just do a lot of reading and research and keep in close connect with a bunch of people who are authoritative experts on stuff. 😁

Hope you don't mind me bumping this topic after 3 1/2 years...still looking for a pic of Bobby Hull during his short stint with the New York Rangers during the 1981 pre-season...

No pic yet, but found this:

In 1981 Hull, who scored 303 goals in the WHA, attended the New York Rangers training camp as a 42 year old. The Rangers also had Hedberg and Nilsson and were looking to recapture some WHA magic, but it was not meant to be.

Story B: Red Wings go undefeated and score 100 goals in every game. They also beat a team comprised of Godzilla, the ghost of Abraham Lincoln, 2 Power Rangers and Betty White. Oh, and they played in the middle of Iraq on a military base. In the sand. With no ice. Santa gave them special sand-skates that allowed them to play in shorts and t-shirts in 115 degree weather. Jesus, Zeus and Buddha watched from the sidelines and ate cotton candy.
