dennisbergan
All they had to do was ditch the black unitards and return to their early embrace of teal and gold. What "early embrace of gold"? You guys act like gold was some huge part of the uniform It never has been and never will be (it appears). The Jags have never worn gold pants. Never worn gold helmets. Never had gold numbers. Its always just been a accent or trim color, like orange is now with Tampa Bay. The Jags obviously are teal, black and white. These uniforms (and their uniforms in franchise history) have ALSO been teal, black and white. Some people here, wouldn't be happy, no matter what they did or didn't do. Unless, they broke out grey masks, standard font numbers, and striped socks. Then, that would be neato.
jags1828
they should have used gold somewhere on the uniform beside the logo. i will have to wait and see the helmets when they play,to see what color they show up on TV. they look decent as uniforms. the stripes on the jerseys and pants could have been a little thicker. the away unis looks tight if you see them up close with the teal outline. but i dont think i will be getting a jersey anytime soon. if i do i will cut the sleeves off. the replica jerseys are terrible. too plain looking with nothing on the sleeves like that. they look good as uniforms because they dont really have sleeves. i loved the old uniforms but i think i will learn to love these too. just wished they would have threw some gold in there somewhere. DallasSports
<Wow.I was on the fence at first, but seeing the side by side? How can anybody say upgrade? That font is ghastly.I agree with everything you just said. I wasn't too sure at first, but at side-by-side, I miss the old ones already.Just move the franchise to Los Angeles already.

Would you mind pointing out to me what is better about these than the very similar old ones because I don't see it?
gorams1
Where the gold at??I've probably posted once in the last 3-4 years, but this epic downgrade has prompted me to do so...At least the "classic" Jaguars jerseys will now be on sale

Jamikel
Let's at least give them credit for creating a modern-day uniform that isn't some gaudy, Bills- like atrocity. Why? The Bills have, in my opinion, by far the worst uniforms in the league. Using the standard of "better than what the Bills have," then yeah, I guess they're okay, but shouldn't we set the bar a little higher than that? These uniforms look bad on their own, and even worse in comparison to the Jaguars' old uniforms.

oldschoolvikings
The worst thing for me, though, is that they are keeping the black socks with the black pants. It seems like teams just aren't going to realize how bad that looks. You guys better get with the rest of the world, and get into this century. These teams wear them, because that's what is in style. That simple.Love the new uni's. Simple yet original. The helmet rocks and is something different. And, I love that so many here hate them too. That must mean, they kick ass.Shock, everyone... Dennis likes them ... didn't see that coming. Is there a short-lived, High School football trend you aren't in love with? http://dstewartpaint.blogspot.com/

GFB
If they incoporated more of the color scheme into this template, then I would really like it. But the thing that kills this is the over-abundance of black and white; and the lack of congruency between the away and home uniforms.

There wasn't a lot of gold there compared with the black and teal, but it had a big effect in terms of providing contrast and helping the other colors stand out from one another. Kind of like the black helping the silver and honolulu blue of the Lions' uniforms stand out against each other. And no one would ever want to get rid of the black in the Lions' unis, right? The helmets also bug me, not because they look bad in themselves, but because they take to the extreme my least favorite trend in recent football uniforms, which is the ultra-shiny helmet paired with dull uniform fabric. connriv
I'm still confused ... would one describe those helmets as "black" in a non-weird lighting situation?
FiddySicks
A buddy of mine saw the new jerseys and freaked out because he thought Maurice Jones-Drew signed with the Eagles. After looking at it a bit, yeah. They kinda do remind me of the Eagles. On 11/19/2012 at 7:23 PM, oldschoolvikings said: She’s still half convinced “Chris Creamer” is a porn site.) TFoA
The helmet is pretty damn cool, IMO. I've always wanted to see someone in the NFL do what the Jaguars just did (just not my team. )The uniforms, however, are BAD. That is a pretty big downgrade from what they had before. No gold, the stripes are bad, the numbers don't fit the design, and the black pants should've been shiny instead of flat. Just bad all-around.
