B-Rich
Heard this on the radio yesterday, apparently it's true: Today, it's Dolphin Stadium. But get ready soon for Land Shark Stadium, named for a brew that's obscure now but has big aspirations: Land Shark Lager is a joint project of Anheuser Busch and Key West icon Jimmy Buffett. Dolphin Stadium president Bruce Schulze confirmed Friday that a naming rights deal with Land Shark Lager is likely. The Dolphins are expected to unveil the new name at a news conference next Friday.Link to full story from Miami HeraldArticle also mentions that Jimmy Buffett may become a minority owner of the team. Although the NFL main office has more to do with selecting/acquiring the talent, I think this may make even more likely the possibility of Jimmy Buffett playing at the Super Bowl halftime show, as was discussed in another earlier forum. Burmy
First the Dolphin logo mutates to something meaner, then Dolphin Stadium's name mutates to something meaner (faints).Seriously, why couldn't they have gone back to JOE ROBBIE STADIUM once the Pro Player naming rights deal expired? Sodboy13
Land Shark is ing terrible beer. I bought a six pack a few weeks ago and threw four of them away.I dunno. I liked it one summer evening last year when the bar was giving them out free. Nothing wrong with a light, cheap, summer swigger.
Lee.
If this is a gateway to Jimmy Buffet playing a Super Bowl, I'm never watching the NFL again. From Prince to Jimmy Buffet in just a few years. There are just so many things wrong with that "progression."

gueman
Land Shark is ing terrible beer. I bought a six pack a few weeks ago and threw four of them away.Well it is made by AB well InBev so what did you expect. Unlike when SAB took over for Miller. They are filling a hole in their line up and needed a Corona fighter. I do think that InBev will improve the overall quality of AB products. As for the stadium name...mehh. It could be worse, Publix Stadium would come to mind.
